Zelenskyy: “Russians don’t spare people, which is why they suffered record 54,000 losses in October. They’re sending tens of thousands of murderers—yes, murderers. These 54,000 losses are the losses of Russian murderers. They can’t be pitied, because they’re coming to murder us.”
This is such a basic thing. Russians are invading our country to kill our people. Sympathy should be with the defending side. It's such a pity that a certain trillionaire and some people in Western governments don't understand the difference between the victim and the aggressor. The aggressor, who has the choice to stop this war any day, stop murdering people, and stop suffering losses.

American Gestapo. Vicious sadistic cruelty. If and when Democrats are in the majority, they should demand all of the Communications traffic behind this decision and hold the disgusting monsters who did it accountable.

There needs to be more commentary on how the acronym for Binance’s safety fund is “SAFU,” because we have a similar WWII-era acronym that speaks to this matter.

I hope Republicans allowing genocide in Europe are haunted by these screams every night of their lives.
You can stop this. You don’t. You are complicit. Shame. Shame. Shame.
I am in tears and speechless. The scream of this father over the body of his 15 y.o. daughter is the sound of pure torture. Another #russia attack on civilians. Mid day in #Chernihiv . These terrorist monsters have no soul. They will not stop until stopped.

Grammy Carmen first read me #MLB commish Bart Giamatti's famous essay, "The Green Fields of the Mind," when I was just a kid. Each year after the #WorldSeries wrapped, she'd pull it out. So per usual, on the first night without baseball, these words still run through my head. – at Clifton, NJ

I’m a Tigers fan, the Dodgers ruined baseball for me. I stopped watching and only started liking baseball again when the Dodgers got swept. I will always love the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers for restoring my faith and love for baseball.
Saskatchewan, endorse! Cairns Field is ready for its moment.
Old guy take. The only downside of this World Series: two domes.
MLB should’ve moved the series to an outdoor neutral site. Boston or Minnesota or Saskatchewan.
October baseball is guys blowing air into their hands. Baggy sweatshirts under jerseys. Jim Leyland’s cheeks turning cherry red. Dip spit stuck to chapped lips.

I'm an American, a U.S. Army veteran, and I live in Europe.
And I'll tell you something that might upset a few people back home.
I want my fellow Americans to enjoy the same rights, freedoms, and quality of life that millions of Europeans already enjoy.
I want Americans to have access to affordable healthcare without worrying about going bankrupt because they got sick.
I want American students to pursue higher education without burying themselves in decades of debt.
I want Americans to enjoy stronger digital privacy laws, meaningful consumer protections, paid parental leave, and guaranteed paid vacation.
I want police officers held to rigorous standards of accountability, where de-escalation is emphasized and deadly force is genuinely a last resort.
I want Americans to understand that freedom isn't just about what the government cannot do to you. It's also about having the security and opportunity to actually enjoy your life.
And before someone starts screaming about socialism, understand something.
European countries are capitalist democracies. They have private businesses, entrepreneurs, private property, competitive markets, and individual liberties. They've simply made different decisions about what protections their citizens should enjoy.
Europe isn't perfect. No place is. But pretending America has nothing to learn from other democracies is ridiculous.
I served my country. I love my country. And I don't believe patriotism requires pretending that America is the best at everything.
In fact, I believe the exact opposite.
Real patriotism means wanting your country to improve, even when that means admitting another country does something better.
I don't want Americans to have fewer freedoms.
I want them to have MORE.
More protections. More opportunities. More security. More accountability. More freedom to live their lives without being financially destroyed by illness, education, or circumstances beyond their control.
And having lived on both sides of the Atlantic, I know that much of this is possible.
We should stop asking why Americans can't have these things and start asking why they're expected to settle for less.

Zelenskyy shouldn’t have to ‘win Trump’ for the US to hold up its side of the Budapest memorandum, deliver the equipment that has already been paid for, and just generally not get in bed with an internationally wanted criminal currently committing genocide.
What so many Ukraine supporters in Washington think but won't say publicly: Zelensky mishandled Trump's demand that he stop bombing Russian refineries—and then made it worse by going after Trump publicly.
My latest.

I am genuinely astonished that, after Donald Trump has spent the past two years stripping Ukraine of virtually all Congressionally-approved aid, threatening Ukraine, fawning over Putin and bending over backwards to please him in every conceivable way, blaming Ukraine for being invaded, hurling vicious, absurd insults, blackmail, and torrents of lies at it, twisting its arm to force it into capitulation, humiliating it with his antics, making it a scapegoat for his own failures and incompetence in the eyes of voters, and now openly and definitively entering into direct collusion with the Kremlin and siding with it in exchange for promised corrupt “business opportunities” for himself, his family, and his inner circle -- there are still people who have the nerve search with a magnifying glass for ways in which Zelensky failed to kiss Trump's ass enthusiastically enough to explain why he has been treating Ukraine this way.
