This analysis 🧐 🤔
Replying to @buildwithdudu
A person earning ₦77,000 monthly (or ₦924,000 annually in gross income) falls within the tax-free bracket after deductions. The ₦800,000 is net income (Taxable income) not gross income. It means that the threshold is almost 1,200,000 in terms of gross income. Still, let's follow your scenario assuming ₦994,000 is the annual taxable income (net after mandatory deductions like pension, etc.): First ₦800,000 = Tax Free (₦0 tax) Next ₦194,000 = 15% tax → ₦194,000 × 0.15 = ₦29,100 Total annual tax liability: ₦29,100 Monthly tax: ₦29,100 ÷ 12 ≈ ₦2,433.33 (or exactly ₦2,433 per month) Additionally, with the rent relief (deductible up to ₦500,000 annually under certain conditions), this could reduce the taxable income further. If fully applied and sufficient documentation is provided, it could bring the taxable portion to zero or near zero, making the person completely tax-exempt on income at this level. Even in the worst case (no rent relief applied), the monthly tax would only be around ₦2,434. With rent relief, many in this income bracket pay ₦0 income tax. While in the old tax regime we are using, a person earning ₦994,000 (as taxable income) will pay tax as follows: 1. First ₦300,000 = 7% → ₦21,000 2. Next ₦300,000 = 11% → ₦33,000 3. Next ₦394,000 (remaining up to ₦994,000) = 15% → ₦59,100 With this income, in the old tax system, you will pay ₦113,100 (₦21,000 + ₦33,000 + ₦59,100) as income tax alone. Coupled with other sets of nuisance taxes. While in the new system, it is just ₦29,100! Choose for yourself. @taiwoyedele @mrlurvy @SirJarus

Over you you @ChampionsLeague @UEFA
🔴⚪ Is the Champions League actually the Champions League? 🤔 I'm asking that question because Only 15 of the 36 teams this season won their league last year. That's 41%. In 1955, the European Cup had one rule: win your league or stay home. Champions only. The best of the best. Second place went to the UEFA Cup, which is why that cup meant so much more than the Europa League does today. You had to be perfect to get in. Now? 36 teams. A league phase. And most of them never lifted their league trophy. Meanwhile, a champion from a smaller league has to fight through qualifying just to get a seat. Some can't even get in because of the league they play in. Yes, I get the coefficient argument. Fifth in the Premier League is better than first in Scotland. That's the truth. But the Scottish champion going to the Europa League? That's not right either. So who is it really for? The champions, or the big leagues? I'm not saying go back to 1955. Quality matters. But at least 18 of the 36 should be champions. Half. That's the balance. The Champions League should have champions in it. Is that too much to ask, UEFA? 👀 COYG 🔴⚪

I haven't seen or heard of anyone going to report his or her uncle, aunty, father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, son, daughter or friend, for indulging in the production of fake products in Nigeria.. Are the people involved in these productions ghosts?

The license plate is officially valid but remains completely unassigned to any vehicle, meaning the FRSC has a serious case of negligence or fraud to answer for. This should be address and look into.

I came across what appeared to be a suspicious fuel-loading activity while refuelling at AA Rano on the outskirts of Kano. More than 100 jerrycans, each with a capacity of 50 litres, were being filled and loaded into this white vehicle.

This exactly my grievance and I have called @tokunbo_wahab attention severally. If @followlasg can open a platform to report erring operators, things will get better. A platform where I will show receipts of incidents, operator details and payment and then everyone will sit-up
The PSP are the major problems. I don’t know how they got the contracts but i believe it should be reviewed. They used to come every week before all of a sudden they increase their fee then they choose to come anytime they want. It can be once in a month or twice if we’re lucky.

I am one of those Youth Corps member teacher who forged fictitious names as secondary school registrants under Governor Peter Obi. Guy lied barefacedly to manipulate the statistics to show Anambaroans as educated. Go to Anambra today boys still don’t go to school . Recruiting men to jobs requiring education is a challenge. Go fact check these claims

If you want to really understand what was going during Obi's time as governor, find all Corp Members (not the corrupt one) who served during his tenure and you will understand the reality. I hear people say Peter Obi gave schools computers, I laugh when I see such. I personally onboarding at least 100 of those blue laptoys....I served in Awka and I know wetin my eye see when I tried to upgrade the computer lab.... I tell people, the generation that will turn Nigeria into the right direction is yet to be born. This present generation alive need to take drastic steps to prepare the way for that generation. Nigeria has been ruled or controlled by the same set of people since 1960 doing transfer from one party to another and they are already grooming their offsprings to take over while the common man is fighting their battles for them. For all the Obi Supporters, sincerely ask yourself this questions 1. If Obi was so particular about Nigeria, why did he leave Labour where he already gained grounds? 2. If he left Labour based on dispute or for whatever reasons, why didn't he just form his own party? 3. If he was truly about fighting for the common man and for the future of Nigeria, why is he sitting in the midst of the same people he wants to tackle if he becomes president? I am no party to any party or anyone because I believe, why you throw insults at each other and fight each other, these politicians will wine and dine at the expense of your blood.
