I checked 30 viral posts about Grok Bot (
@bot), looking at what's actually shown working versus what's only claimed.
Result:
- 0 posts show Grok Bot making money on its own
- 2 showed real income (Stripe screenshots), but the person built the product and the buyers came from their own X following
- 1 showed real tasks working (research, price comparison, simple coding)
- 5 used simulations, animations or false "SpaceXAI / Elon" attributions
- The rest were prompts, plans and projections with no proof
- Several were copied word for word between accounts
The useful part: it's good at research, monitoring, briefings, drafts and content editing, with a human approving what goes out. Even the official guides call it experimental.
Don't give an AI bot your money, wallet or trading keys.
