A beautiful place within a globally designated site of importance for biodiversity with potential for European Protected Species - now destroyed without survey. Signed off by @NaturalEngland. What’s even the point of designating sites, @TonyJuniper? What is the point? 🌱💔
In July, decisions were made by @NENorthWest which has resulted in an unprecedented outcome in modern times. 0.5ha of the Dee Estuary SAC is now set to be destroyed on Wirral. @WildJustice_org have been helping to reverse this nationally significant precedent. PLEASE RETWEET!

Excitement builds as the Cheltenham Festival gallops into town this week, but we can't ignore the stark reality: 74 horses killed in 23 years. It's #TimeForChange 💔 👉 Make your voice heard: leagueacs.co.uk/AbDnn #CheltenhamFestival #HorseRacing

Do not deserve that beautiful horse, you nasty, nasty excuse for a human...I have no words, you need prosecuting!
Punched and kicked - this is how the Cottesmore Hunt treat their horses in broad daylight. This is utterly disgusting and needs to be seen as widely as possible. We urge you to RT this and expose how so-called "trail hunts" treat the animals they claim to love.
Now behind bars, the natural world of Owlthorpe Fields awaits its dismal fate. Here, with the protest ribbons from local folk and children flickering in the hot breeze but still ignored, it felt like the wildlife was screaming to be set free...the bulldozers will soon arrive....
Very serious allegations made against Sheffield Cabinet Councillor Mazur Iqbal in today’s @SheffieldStar by highly respected former Head of City Regeneration Simon Ogden. Mazur now needs to stand aside while they’re properly investigated #localjournalism thestar.co.uk/news/people/ca…

Absolutely right @ryanleewatts @andrewellson @georgegrylls thetimes.co.uk/article/rural… Not just rural areas feeling the pressure, either. At today's count 424 grassroots campaigns have signed up to the Community Planning Alliance map. Vast majority concerned about housing 1/

The Broomhead Estate wasted no time in setting local moors alight this month. Fragile moorland mosses, plantlife, insects, reptiles, birds and mammals are all destroyed in the flames - and taxpayers subsidise wealthy shooting estates for the destruction! #bantheburn #Sheffield

BRUSSELS: We are at the @Europarl_EN to launch the #CertifiedCruel report exposing welfare washing of #fur trade’s WelFur scheme. Fur is cruel, and no amount of PR spin changes that. #makefurhistory #thisisfur

This was a condemned tree in Sheffield. Turns out it just had a huge bulge (see waterline) of tarmac next to it, no root disturbance to the walkway at all. Another 'D' to add to discredited reasons to fell? Deep tarmac? #SaveShefftrees
