Russia continues to strike targets in Moldova & Romania as well as enter their airspace and overfly military targets. These are just the incidents we hear about publicly. For all the public warnings about Russia acting in the Baltics the response to these incursions is lacking.

Over the past few days, Ukraine has struck at least four plants producing components in the Russian missile (and broader) supply chain:
October 23: The Proton plant in Oryol, hit by Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles. Proton produces optoelectronics and electronic components for Iskander-M, the S-71K Kover cruise missile, and Pantsir-S1.
October 24: The Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, hit by long-range drones. Tolyattikauchuk produces isobutylene, reportedly a feedstock for solid rocket propellant. Satellite imagery appears to show two damaged isobutylene process units.
October 25: The AVISMA plant in Berezniki, hit by long-range drones. AVISMA produces about 96 percent of Russia’s titanium sponge, used in alloys for missiles and combat aircraft.
October 25-26: The Energia plant in Yelets, hit by Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles. Energia makes batteries for Iskander-M and is reportedly Russia’s sole producer of batteries for glide-bomb guidance kits.
We will have to see how much of a dent this makes in Russian missile output. Previous strikes on Russian component manufacturers appear to have had limited effects. However, Russia has not previously faced successive strikes on different parts of the supply chain within a short period of time, including attacks using heavy missile systems.
💔 IN MEMORY OF JESSE ADAMS — A TRUE HERO FOR ANIMALS 💔
It is with enormous sadness that we have learned of the tragic death of Jesse Adams, founder of RainCoast Dog Rescue Society in Canada, who lost his life while carrying out an animal rescue mission in one of the most dangerous areas of Ukraine.
Jesse dedicated his life to saving animals, even when it meant putting his own life at risk.
We first came to know Jesse in 2021, when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. Jesse and RainCoast were among the extraordinary organisations that came together to assist KSAR with the evacuation of 285 cats and dogs, helping many find loving forever homes.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Jesse travelled to the border to help fleeing families and their pets, providing veterinary care, supplies and assistance getting animals to safety.
He returned repeatedly, undertaking increasingly dangerous missions.
Most recently, Jesse worked alongside Animal Rescue Kharkiv, rescuing hundreds of animals from devastated frontline communities under constant threat from drones, missiles and artillery.
These were extraordinary acts of compassion and courage in the face of unimaginable danger.
Jesse knew the risks. He knew every mission could be his last. Yet he continued because he believed animals caught in conflict deserved protection just as much as those living in peace.
Those of us working in animal rescue in conflict zones understand and accept these risks. But few possess the courage to repeatedly travel towards danger when everyone else is trying to escape it.
Jesse was one of those very special people.
His death is a devastating loss to his family, friends, RainCoast and the international animal rescue community.
Our hearts go out to everyone who knew and loved him, particularly the Ukrainian rescuers who worked alongside him.
His legacy lives on in every animal he saved and every rescuer he inspired.
Rest in peace, Jesse. The world has lost an extraordinary human being, and the animals have lost a true champion. 🐾💔
With love and deepest respect,
Louise and everyone at War Paws

On the morning of Oct 26, Ukrainian forces struck the Voronezhsintezkauchuk plant in Voronezh. By our assessment, the newly built polybutadiene production unit was hit: 51.630184,39.246486.
The plant is part of Sibur and one of Russia’s largest synthetic rubber and TPE producers (385k+ tonnes/year).
Sibur has been expanding the site: it upgraded the polybutadiene rubber line and finished a 350 t/year n-butyllithium catalyst plant. The strike likely hit recently commissioned equipment.

These are the same problems any tech start-up faces and as I have mentioned previously, start-up CEOs are rarely good at turning their companies into enterprises. The wise CEOs recognize this and hire help.

UPDATE: We now have new reason to believe that two of the three shipments are UAN fertilizer. The issue is that they departed from a petroleum berth in St. Petersburg, Russia and are heading to oil-centric terminals in USA even though one of the terminals hasn't imported Russian UAN in two years and the other shows no record of doing so. The third vessel is AGIOI FANENDES (9798375), which departed Primorsk's diesel terminal and was initialy stating "USNY" as her destination.

UPDATE: 🇷🇺 Together with @SONARROW_OSINT, we have identified a FOURTH Russian cargo vessel, LADY R (IMO 9161003), loading new military equipment at the naval base in Baltiysk, Kaliningrad.
One of the largest Russian military convoys yet appears to be about to leave for an unknown destination.
EXCLUSIVE: In a joint investigation by @InsiderGeo × @SONARROW_OSINT , we identified a large-scale Russian military loading operation in Baltiysk. Between October 15 and 16, we observed the Russian cargo vessels ASCALON (IMO 9198226), LADY D (IMO 9349289) and ANASTASIIA (IMO 9349291) loading significant quantities of military equipment at the Kaliningrad naval base, including logistics vehicles, infantry vehicles, MRAPs and troop transports.
A rotation of other cargo vessels also appears to have taken place in the days before and after, although heavy cloud cover over the period makes this difficult to confirm.
One or more large convoys are likely already underway. Their destination(s) remain unknown at this time.

Ukraine's 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2 evacuated two severely wounded soldiers over the past week using the Ukrainian-made StarGate aerial casevac drone. Ground evacuation was impossible because of terrain, water obstacles and Russian FPV threats. In one mission, StarGate flew nearly 30 km to the casualty and roughly the same distance back, while AI-based navigation kept it flying despite Russian EW suppressing satellite navigation. #Ukraine

An excellent piece from @vhmichel for @Milenio discussing the importance that digital forensics plays when it comes to drones.
Cartels will continue to utilize drones for illicit activities, but seized drones & their components can provide some key information in stopping them.
