When Loki pretended to be cold so he could make a blanket and get closer to Sylvie. BEST MOVE EVER!

If anything, this discourse surrounding the AO3 shutdown has proven to me that so many people in fandom do not deserve fanfic writers.

“a public google drive is not reuploading” so you think if you upload a netflix movie to a public google drive netflix or a court of law would say that’s not reuploading?

Ao3 authors should delete all of their fanfics tbh. Readers shouldn’t consume anything that violates copyright laws since y’all wanna be such sticklers for rules that only serve to benefit your feelings of entitlement and bully writers for setting boundaries you dislike. Ffs.

I’ve had a reply from my email. I’ve had a look and my AO3 stories seem to have been removed from that fraudulent website. Now, let’s hope we take this awful website down.

“sylki no chemistry”….. Clean your eyes, then, because it seems you’re the one with salt in your eyes.

Ngl, the absolute disdain so many readers have for writers is getting me down and killing my motivation. Like I had no idea just how many people consider writers content dispensers instead of fellow fans sharing their passion and looking for community

So thank all those "fans" who have absolutely no respect for creators — in this case, AO3 writers who do this for free — and who download OUR stories only to post them elsewhere, such as on other websites or even on platforms that ask for money! It's so crazy and bad!

As soon as the AO3 issue is sorted out, I’ll take my works down – I’m absolutely fed up. Congratulations.

people who don't contribute anything to the fandom (don't create artwork, fics, or support writers and artists) do not deserve to have an opinion on how the work is shared, and at this point don't even deserve the access to any of it. this will kill all fandoms.

You can say whatever you want about the current situation related to Ao3 being down, but some of you are showing your true colors and exposing the kind of awful people you are. Mocking and harassing authors because they dared to kindly ask for their works to not be in the drives.

“AO3 authors shouldn’t issue DMCA takedowns!!! Getting Google involved is bad!!!” YOURE THE ONE WHO GOT GOOGLE INVOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU STUPID FUCK An author asks for their work to be removed from your drive. You refuse. What other recourse do they have?

shit is pissing me off no one gives this much of a fuck when artists ask people not to repost their works. writers are genuinely second class citizens in fandoms forget monetizing you can't even ask people to respect you and not reupload your shit in places you don't know
