I block people, and I do it for various reasons: * they're Trump/MAGA * they're racist/bigoted (often goes with Trump/MAGA) * they repeat tired, lazy talking points * they act like idiots It doesn't mean they won an argument. It means I have no interest in seeing more of them.

Trump making Stephen Miller Chief of Staff is a giant FU to the entire country that just voted against their barbarism, cruelty and hate. It’s also a sign that in spite of what he said he has zero interest in moderating or working with Democrats to deliver for the people.

Elevating Miller to chief of staff is a good reminder that it can and will get worse. There is no bottom for Trump and MAGA. They will not learn their lesson. We have to expose them and bury them in 2028.

Tesla just confirmed it will end Cybertruck production in 2027. I think it's one of the best case studies we have on managing customer expectations. Tesla received more than 1 million reservations for the Cybertruck. Our best estimate puts the real number closer to 2 million. That's demand most automakers can only dream of. Tesla delivered about 70,000 trucks in three years. You can point to a lot of factors: the design, the production ramp, quality issues, the brand's politics, competition. They all played a role. But they're small compared to the main one. Tesla promised a $40,000 truck with up to 500 miles of range. It delivered an $80,000 truck with about 300 miles of range. Those 1 million+ people didn't reserve the truck Tesla ended up building. They reserved a promise. When the product showed up at twice the price with 40% less range, most of them simply walked away. And you can't blame them. The lesson applies well beyond EVs: the expectations you set become the bar you're judged against. Overpromising can get you a huge order book, but it only turns into revenue if you deliver. Otherwise, you've just built a list of disappointed customers. Under-promise and over-deliver isn't a cliché. Tesla's Cybertruck is what happens when you do the opposite.

With Dems all but certain to prevail in Mississippi and Alaska, we're most likely looking at a 56D-44R Senate and a ~260D-175R House, which would be Dems' largest House majority since 1992.

Tesla's inflated valuation ran out of hype five years ago and it's been circling the drain ever since. Five years ago, you could have put $150k into $TSLA or an index fund, or stuffed it under your mattress. After inflation, that $150k is now worth: S&P 500: $193k Mattress: $124k Tesla: $104k Grandma's S&P 500 index fund is up almost 29% after inflation. Even grandpa's mattress beat @ElonMusk. In an AI-fueled bull market, $TSLA lost to Walmart, Costco, Philip Morris, Exxon, the New York Times, and literal garbage collectors. Musk cashed out ~$40 billion of Tesla stock. His shareholders were left holding the bag: a stock down 15% in five years, a shrinking and aging lineup, 2% global market share, "Full Self-Driving" that still needs a babysitter, and robots that can barely stand up. Tesla has been dead money for five years.

The first two screenshots are about a pivotal meeting in May 2025, when Stephen Miller called the heads of all 25 ICE field offices to DC and screamed at them to stop focusing on criminals and instead start raiding Home Depots and the like. Two weeks later, the LA raids began.
The Steven Miller story, so far. Good luck, Republicans.

In a 2023 $TSLA earnings call, Elon Musk claimed Tesla had ***one million*** Cybertruck reservations. As of now, a TOTAL of approximately 71,000 Cybertrucks have sold. Today Musk announced that Tesla is DISCONTINUING the Cybertruck. Securities fraud, anyone?

Anyone who thought Trump would learn from the midterms apparently never paid attention-because he almost always doubles down Stephen Miller replacing Susie Wiles as chief of staff means war in Iran will likely get worse and ICE’s treatment of immigrants will get even more harsh
MacFarlane on Stephen Miller: Everything about this feels like a double down. This feels like amplifying the old ideas, putting them on steroids. But Stephen Miller was a foil for Democrats during this election. He was in the campaign ads as they tried to rally against Trump 2.0.

The appointment of Miller releves the pressure on D's to go easy on Trump with the investigations, now they can claim Trump has no interest in working with new D majority, while Stephen Miller in charge is bad for the country, it most likely is good for D's.
