Stretching, yoga and now a face mask. Eating fruits and a sleeping tablet at 6pm to hopefully pass out at a decent hour post announcement
How are you taking care of yourself today?

“That was unnecessary. It undermines your right to put your head where you want to put it.”😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
YOU started in the gutter by saying "most useless journalist" to a young man doing his job. I asked you why you are insulting him and you repeated the insults. YOU stayed in the gutter. So I met you there and spoke in the language of your preference. I'm versatile like that. I don't mind being called a bitch. In fact your own leader has repeatedly liked and retweeted posts that called me a bitch. I don't mind and am not looking for protection. I do appreciate your offer though. Yes, let's keep things professional. It starts with you exercising your right to not like the journalist's question. But it doesn't extend to you dictating what he should and shouldn't ask, where and when. And the calling him "most useless journalist." You introduced words like "stupid " and "foolish." That was not necessary. I AM sorry I said get your head out of your leader's backside. That was unnecessary. It undermines your right to put your head where you want to put it.

One of the joys of this election cycle has been witnessing the public deployment of various civic tech projects. Exciting times lie ahead, though the barrier to entry remains high. Some parties and individuals also have more capabilities to misinform and push narratives which I concerning

Ok it’s easier to explain in a drawing but I’ve tried to make it as simple as I can. The IEC adds up each party's ward votes and PR votes. Votes for independent ward candidates are left out. If independents won any wards, those seats are taken off the total number of council seats. What is left is the number of seats available to parties. The IEC then works out the quota, which is the number of votes a party needs to win one seat Quota = (Total party votes ÷ Seats available to parties) + 1 Each party gets one seat for every full quota of votes it received. If there are still seats left over, they go to the parties with the most leftover votes. The IEC then subtracts the wards each party has already won. Whatever is left is filled from that party's PR list. If a party wins more wards than its share of seats(overhang), it keeps those wards. The seats for the other parties are then worked out again.

I also want to appreciate @LukhonaMnguni for standing as Rise Mzansi's mayoral candidate in Johannesburg. It takes courage to move from commentary into the arena and put your name on the ballot. Our politics, and local government in particular, needs more young and educated people willing to serve. Municipalities are where people feel government the most: water, roads, electricity, refuse. In my birthplace in the Free State, I have seen what happens when councillors lack the skills for the job. Some do not understand bylaws, struggle to make decisions, and see being a councillor as a job rather than a calling to serve. The sad part is that these towns are full of capable people. But many take their skills to the private sector, and our municipalities lose the very talent they need. 👊👊👊

Thank you. I don't use X as much as I used to, get #LGE2026 insights from our missing-voter-sa.politicalhu…. It is accessible to anyone. Great for understanding how parties performed at a station-by-station level & for campaign diagnostics, e.g @EFFSouthAfrica - xitter.gq/resourcehub_hq/status/…

On the headline, the @EFFSouthAfrica lost 22% of its vote. That sounds like a national crisis that needs a national fix. The diagnosis says otherwise. 93% of the loss happened in just two provinces, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. Across the other seven, its vote barely moved. That changes the response entirely. A national overhaul would pour effort into places where the vote held, and still not fix the two places where it broke. A headline invites a big, general answer. A diagnosis demands a precise one. Evidence: measured from @IECSouthAfrica results. #MissingVoter #LGE2026 #PCRHCampaignDiagnostics

I have built a few election analysis tools with logistic regression and clustering so familiar with the scope of work. I have not come across anyone as good as @DawieScholtz @waynesussman @paulyberk @Jonathan_Moakes. They are simply the gold standard in SA. Let me/us know if you find someone. Would love to connect and learn
Are there no black people who do Dawie Scholtz and Wayne Sussman work of election predictions? I want to follow them.

He ate that.
“Absolutely not” - Rise Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi on people who says they should have clubbed themselves up with ActionSA to form an umbrella of sorts. He says ActionSA is generally a “right wing” political party.

Rise Mzansi shows a politics of decency and ethics. No name calling or hate fueled campaigns. Its aim is singular in that it seeks social justice. Liberation from political exclusion is not enough. We need social recognition too.
South Africa is changing, and RISE Mzansi is part of that change. Reflecting on the party’s first local government election, National Leader @SongezoZibi highlighted the deliberate decision to contest only seven municipalities across three provinces, focusing on consolidating and growing our core support base following our 2024 debut. #RISEMzansi #RiseLGE2026 #LGE2026

Lukhona does much more than “ukuzama”. He demonstrates that not all African men in leadership are like Gwede and Fikile. We need serious African men like Lukhona , Songezo and Herman Mashaba in our every day politics and dialogue. Amadoda anesidima - who speak sense. And act . Men who don’t defend or justify incompetence and corruption. Otherwise, our boy children will be forever bombarded with negative messages about men who look like them. They may start believing that being a powerful man in public service comes with identifying with the likes of abo Fikile, nabo Dada , no Tat’Gwede…

Well, that is just not true. RISE ran in Johannesburg, and it's the first time RISE is contesting LGE
Rise Mzansi isn’t rising.
