A thread! Ole chocked big teams with tactics n blew away others. His games needs studying especially with McFred. This was a perfect high-line 424 in pressing collapsed into a compact/aggressive mid block wich gave the opp no time to breathe. Managers with style < Ole adapting.
🗣️“Ole had no tActiC” A lie travels halfway around the world before the truth even has a chance to put its pants on

Extremely extremely disrespectful to a legend of the club. But fuck it. Against ALL odds. A one in a trillion shot. If anyone can do it, ITS CARRICK YA KNOWWWWW
Michael Carrick stays in charge of Manchester United after talks yesterday including Ratcliffe, Glazers, Berrada, Wilcox. Surprising call after Bournemouth but there is clarity now, in short-term at least. Fascinating few days ahead ⬇️ #MUFC nytimes.com/athletic/7726768…

The fans clapping Carrick off is what made them keep him! Don’t want to hear any complaints from those guys

Where was the gratitude when Rashford had played injured for the club for most of Ole’s tenure ? Or when he’s played on knocks for this club his entire career AND THIS SEASON ? Oh I remember 2nd most abused athlete after LeBron James. Rooney is such a snake, bald prick
🔥 Wayne Rooney TEARS into Manchester United players: “NOT FIT TO WEAR THE SHIRT!” This is as critical as I’ve ever seen Rooney about his former club. He’s raging, and rightly so. Michael Carrick is a Manchester United legend and a close friend of Rooney’s, so this one clearly hits a little harder than usual. On Stick to United with @markgoldbridge, he went straight for the players who love the spotlight when things are good but disappear the second it gets tough, like Bruno, Martinez, Rashford and the rest: “Where’s Rashford now? Things get tough, where’s Rashford? You need to play through the pain barrier. You need to be ready, to give everything for the club, and they’re not doing that.” He didn’t stop there. After that abysmal performance against Bournemouth, Rooney said he was pleased when the fans stopped clapping Carrick off and turned their fury on the players: “I was really pleased when they switched from clapping Michael off the pitch, and then they’ve turned on them players. They’re not fit to wear that shirt at the minute. I don’t think they ever will be. The least you can do is work and show that it means something and that you care.” Rooney said the five-year-olds he coaches understand something these multi-millionaires don’t: You run. You chase. You fight for every ball. This squad can’t even manage the basics! Rooney finished by expressing frustration that the same players are doing it again to another manager, and will almost certainly get away with it: “Honestly, watching it’s just so annoying and frustrating and disappointing that these players are gonna get away with it again.” Ruthless from Rooney. He is speaking for the fans here. They know Carrick hasn’t been good enough, but he’s a club legend who cares deeply about Manchester United and is giving his all. The players have given up. They don’t even run, and that is unforgivable! The fans will back you no matter what if you give your best, but they will never accept what these players are doing. Right now these players are a disgrace to the shirt, to the badge, and to everything Manchester United is supposed to stand for.

🗣️ All good and well wanting a head coach instead of a manger who’d ask for more control. But when you have an academy coach thrusted into a Director of Football role, a CEO who’s never dealt with a club in need of a complete rebuilt, and a minority owner who knows more about fracking than football, surely it’s better to give a little more control to someone who’s been there and done it?!

Totally embarassing from Rooney to call out Rashford for not ‘playing through the pain’. Does he not recall Rashford putting his own back on the line for almost 2 years straight for us? Oh you didn’t care then did you? Are players not allowed to be injured now? Or is it banned?

How I read the Bruno situation : 🔻Based on the form from last season under Carrick, he had high hopes from this season. 🔻So he kept an eye on the Transfer window. 🔻No doubt United would have made verbal promises to him during signing his last contract about wanting to compete for the big trophies. 🔻Window turned out to be a massive disappointment but he still held hope that United might be able to recapture form from last season. 🔻That didn't happen and instead we tried to change our way of playing from last season. 🔻When it finally dawned on him we are embarking on another rebuild and written off season, he has made up his mind to leave. 🔻He is at the twilight of his career. A career that would have won many things at another club. 🔻Problem is that he has a contract that goes until 2027 and with an option for a further year. 🔻If Bruno wants to leave United will sell. But United would want to sell to Saudi clubs for big money. 🔻Bruno doesn't want the Saudi money. He wants to win something big in Europe before his club career comes to an end. 🔻He is running out of time. 🔻Catch is the European clubs who would want to buy him can't offer the same kind of money Saudi clubs can. 🔻So the only way to bring the price down is for Bruno to fall out with the club and put pressure on United to accept far less than what they'd get if a Saudi club came calling. 🔻That is the reason he is behaving unlike how he has behaved in an otherwise loyal United career. That is the reason for him doing it all publicly. He is trying to push a move. 🔻It is unfortunate but I understand why he wants to leave even if I can't support the way he is doing it, including publicly throwing Carrick - a United legend under the bus.

Again really think Avram & Joel should sell Man Utd because when we end up in the championship the value of the club will sink… Sell while you can, cash in while the value is high.. don’t be stupid and stay here Avram and Joel! Sell, Sell, Sell, Sell

If you must hark back, hark back to Van Gaal (FA Cup), Mourinho (3 trophies, 2nd place), Ole (3rd & 2nd) or Ten Hag (2 cups). For the love of God, stop romanticising Amorim as some great lost opportunity when his record at United doesn’t justify that sentiment.

Firstly, let's not be buying this Glazer PR, they're scumbags regardless of how bad Ratcliffe/INEOS are. Secondly, they could've vetoed it if they cared so much.
🚨 NEW: Sources say that the handling of Manchester United’s job cuts by Sir Jim Ratcliffe did NOT sit well with the Glazers, particularly Joel and Avram. One source says that Ratcliffe’s implementation of the program jarred with Joel’s “sense of decency and old-fashioned values”. #MUFC [@MarkOgden_]

That clip of Carrick being applauded by the fans only for them to completely switch up on the players as soon as he entered the tunnel might be one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen as a supporter. The longer this goes the more magnified that microscope will become, you can’t overlook such a toxic pattern anymore.
