SWING TRADING STRATEGY/RULES
~Rules enforced on daily charts~
~This strategy is for taking large positions (10%-20% of account) as the stock is moving with strong momentum and aggressively taking profits (So the position size that actually gets held overnight becomes 5%-10% of account)~
~Never Swing full size if position is red/ Close red positions at end of day and recalibrate based on new situation~
*BUY RULES*
-Only buy (long only) swing trades in an up trending market.
-Favorite setups: VCP, Cup with handle, High tight flag, W pattern, Flat bottom, 3 legs down & go consolidation.
-Triggers: Break out of base, Shake out demand tails, Pull back & bounce from key moving average, Pull back & bounce demand zone, Break from closes near bottom of a base (partial).
-Don’t chase and open a position more than 2% from break out.
-Be Selective and have at least 4 reasons for taking the trade.
-Rate the setup and size position based on the quality of the setup.
-Let the 9EMA cross the 21EMA before taking a full position.
-May take half positions at tight areas or shake out tails in the bottom of a NICE base.
*SELL/TAKE PROFIT RULES*
-Sell part of position at end of the first day when ever possible and move stop to ensure a small win if possible & minimize gap risk.
-Sell 1/3 position at 2X risk (EVERY TIME!) making position risk free.
-Find a way to sell 20%-50% into strength once a position it over +6%
-Sell at least 2/3 position when price is extended 10% from the 21EMA because price usually pulls back. add back on at the 9EMA on the pull back if markets allow and the small portion you still hold will help with average cost on the runner position.
-If a stock closes below the 21EMA sell it recalibrate.
-Trail stop at prior days low.
-Take profits into strength or rules will force you to take profit on weakness.
*RISK MANAGEMENT*
-Max risk is .6%.
-Determine position size based on technical stop.
-ALWAYS take stop then recalibrate if necessary.
-Close red trades at end of the day and try again tomorrow if still nice setup when it makes sense.
-Sell 1/3 position at 2X risk (EVERY TIME!) making position risk free.
-Sit out or Switch to day trade/ range trading strategies while markets are in downtrend or range bound.
-Losing every other trade or so is normal.
-Don’t let daily PnL fluctuations bother me. Only worry about weekly/monthly PnL.
trade[XYZ] and ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, are joining forces to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States.
In just over a year, our markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume. They provide continuous price discovery for stocks, indices, and commodities, and have become trusted reference points for retail and institutions alike when traditional markets are closed. Much of the world trades them. Until now, Americans could only watch.
We intend to change that. Subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to establish a new, dedicated U.S. market, with novel exchange and clearing infrastructure built on Hyperliquid. Planned contracts span equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto, with access through participating brokers and platforms. We’ll share more on products, eligibility, and timing as approvals progress.
ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated markets, clearing, and managing risk. trade[XYZ] brings the product development, market design, and technology behind the most liquid and robust markets on Hyperliquid.
Innovation and the protections of U.S. regulation shouldn’t be a trade-off. Together, we plan to prove it.
ICE is making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ] and joins us in building towards the future of Hyperliquid. A small group of market luminaries is joining as well, beginning with Stan Druckenmiller. For more than four decades, few investors have anticipated the great turns in markets as often as Stan. We’re proud to have him with us for the next one.
We’re building the U.S. market in parallel with our existing HIP-3 markets, which we’ll continue to expand and innovate on. We expect both to flourish. They each have a long road map ahead, from new asset classes to new ways to trade them.
To the Hyperliquid community, whether you were here before us or came because of us, thank you. You took a chance on new markets and you made them matter. You’ll forever be a part of this story.
Anything. Anytime. On ICE[XYZ].
I appreciate all of the traders who have gone out of their way to help shorten my learning curve and change the trajectory of my life. These guys did not have to write the books and make the content but i am very glad they did. Thank you @markminervini @Crowded_Mkt_Rpt @IBDinvestors @Quallamaggiie
And so many more, but none more than the guys I mentioned for what became the way I make money. There's no way I could have earned the confidence I have in what I do if they hadn't spent years compounding their success and putting it out there. They're the ones who showed me it was possible to do the particular things i do.
The most OG real CAT MEME is and has been available to trade right on the coinbase app.... This means billions in liquidity are one click away from sending this cat... Big difference from asking average people to put money on these questionable meme trading apps like FOMO and PUMP...
The market will inevitably humble everyone who interacts with it.
It's funny how the best traders are the most humble.
Why do you think that is?
Guys like @OliverKell_ @801010athlete @Clement_Ang17 @ShakePryzby1 @CFlanders7 @RealSimpleAriel @NickSchmidt @MarkRitchie_II - Many many others too!
Stone cold killers, yet in the years I've been following and interacting these beasts, I've never once seen arrogance.
Not sure who needs to hear this, but crypto is just a ledger. Every entry recorded instantly across a vast network of computers. That’s it.
It’s arguably as fundamentally important as something like the wheel. But it is also as simple as the wheel. The wheel never needed a white paper to explain itself.
Pretending it’s more complicated than it is has become the major thing holding this space back.

Replying to @Jason @friedberg
A lot of individuals have spent their lives being "the smart ones", and make a career as keepers of knowledge. Sometimes it's their entire identity. That era is fading fast. Some will adapt and thrive, others will be adrift.

I still don’t get why Germany shut down its nuclear plants. I’ve heard some say it was better for the environment, but you can see from the linked chart it was a disaster.
Many environmentalists are more concerned with feeling good than doing good.
Germany messed up.
@energybants made one of the greatest charts about Germany's energy transition three years ago.
It shows France utterly mogging it with nuclear and it shows how much damage Germany has inflicted on itself by getting rid of its own nuclear.

Know where the real bubble is? Trading the markets. When I started trading in the early 90's people would ask me what I did for a job. When I told them they would say "is that a real job?" now everyone is a trader. I think the next couple years will be about culling that herd.

Code and media are permissionless leverage. They're the leverage behind the newly rich. You can create software and media that works for you while you sleep.

Ignore people playing status games. They gain status by attacking people playing wealth creation games.
Every AI lab is training on the same internet. Same websites, same comments, same data.
Every model is just getting more blurry ….Photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy.
What the Ai models are starving for isn't more text. It's high signal human data. Real thought. Real interaction. Behavior, not content.
The best way to farm high signal human data is gaming. Millions of humans making real decisions inside GTA every night… making split second decisions on first person shooters.. playing pokemon Negotiating, betraying, cooperating, thinking fast and slow..
there’s clearly a reason to create bot free environments in gaming.
Real human data is the new gold. Whoever owns the games owns a lot of high value data.
