Look at him, thats my Qual.
Your what?
My Qualitative! My vibe specialist. Look at him, you notice anything different about him? Look at his face.
I'll give you a hint, his name is Jayden. He won a local poetry competition in bushwick! Yeah I'm sure of the vibe.
Quant firms are hiring idea guys, not quants
I've been skeptical about the whole - software is commoditized, ideas are the moat argument
But I've seen first hand the best quant and technical firms in the world hire thinkers, liberal arts grads, and generalists
I predict the trend accelerates

I always recommend this book when people ask me for book recommendations because I’ve found it paints the most accurate picture of the infrastructure of today’s markets and how drastically things have changed in the last 30 years. A bit technical but worth it if you’re looking to expand your knowledge in modern financial markets.

I weighed in on one of the defining stories of our time:
Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Olivia Rodrigo are all hanging out with finance guys on.wsj.com/4xnfGAn
Mapping out some scenarios: Bitcoin would have to fall to around $8,000 for Strategy’s reserves to be worth less than their debt. If you factor in their preferred stock as senior claims, that threshold rises to about $23,000/btc
Strategy has sold 3,588 $BTC for $216 million to fund dividends on our Digital Credit securities. As of 7/5/2026, we hodl ₿843,775 in our BTC Reserves and $2.55 billion in our USD Reserves. strategy.com/press/strategy-…
There is another scenario though: where Strategy is able to in the present day further increase their cash reserves and prove resilience in their preferred offering in order to upgrade their credit rating with Standard & Poor’s. Doing this prior to any deep pockets of market decline and maturity dates would be game changing. This would open their preferred buyer pool up immensely and give them a funding channel to comfortably navigate 2028-29
Simply put, Strategy doesn’t need Bitcoin to never crash, they need their multi-pronged system to be able to cover their due dates long enough for their stock to trade at a premium to their owned Bitcoin.
Whatever the case ends up being, everything is currently dependent on what they do next with $STRC’s depegging.
