So basically, they take seats off the liberals and hurt Labor in seats they have no danger of losing. Result: Voting one nation helps Labor win government.

We have gone from a world where economic downside was a part of life and even directly confronted when necessary (Volcker, Keating etc) To one where it is avoided like the plague, even if it means blowing hundreds of billions for little good long term reason. This is part of the origin of Burnout Economics. The theory that economic downside is now so politically unacceptable that govt will gladly keep their foot planted on the accelerator while central banks slam their foot on the brakes. The problem is economic downside is never fully avoided, only deferred. And that is where Australia is now. A nation where housing market reckonings have been avoided again and again for almost two decades. Where in the process of avoiding that downside growth in the per capita private sector economy is more or less non-existent in the post-mining boom era. Now those same policymakers are trapped in a world of their own making, where there are no more good options, only less bad ones. Welcome to late stage Burnout Economics, where things get challenging until the cycle starts all over again.

Another rate rise likely next month Things starting to go downhill rather quickly for many folk and for some the wheels will start falling off... It was a very dangerous mindset to have that rates would stay 'lower for longer'...

Obama was actually awesome at deporting illegal immigrants.
Donald Trump's administration has deported nearly one million migrants from the United States in the first 18 months of his second term, according to a new report. The analysis found 980,000 migrants were deported or returned to their home countries, falling short of Trump's target of one million deportations a year. Despite his hardline immigration crackdown, the administration's annual rate of formal removals remains below that recorded during Barack Obama's first term.

I am releasing my full documentary titled: Paris 3 Days Later... I dropped everything to go to Paris because it was clear from the footage that this is could be coming to America next. I couldn't believe my eyes, just burned up upside down cars lying on the street. The crazier part was just seeing people walk around it like it was nothing. In the video you'll see interviews I did with an anarchist and a communist that justified the riots. You'll hear from a woman who feels unsafe going home after work every night. Most of all you'll actually see that the majority of the people in the city do not want their city to burn. I will continue my reporting here and be at the next riot. The best way to support my reporting is to subscribe on X.

Sophie Torney is a mess. Her own internal polling has her losing Kew by a greater margin than last time (published earlier this year), and she’s running her campaign like a Labor MP about to lose her seat. #springst

This is, for all intents and purposes, a Nazi rally. The flags and symbols and some of the colors are different, but the rage, the bloodlust, the sense of moral urgency are the same. It does not matter that they’ve swapped “Zios” for “Jews.” They tell themselves that that makes all the difference in the world, but it doesn’t. After all, the only true “Zios” — the only people who could have brought the Zionist project into reality and who can sustain it today and in the future — are Jews. So long as there are any Jews anywhere, there will always be a potential, or latent, Zionism. If you really want to eliminate the cancer, as it were, you have no choice but to eliminate the Jews. Every last one. Everywhere.
Montreal Canada: thousands of Islamist chanting “we’ll kick the Zios out.” Zios being a derogatory term for Zionists coined by the KKK. The vast majority of Jews are Zionists. This is clear-cut racist incitement. Canada has become a dump occupied by free Palestine death cult adherents

RBA Nov hike now priced at 60%. Reckon we need a 0.9% trimmed mean print for Q3, or lower, to stop cash moving to 4.85%.

Cold, grim honesty from Douglas Murray. I find it impossible to contain my loathing of the people who brought us here. I can't excuse them via whatever the latest excuse is: the parties got it wrong, or didn't notice, or it was someone else's fault spectator.com/article/france…

The RBA can't (won't) be any clearer. Reduced government spending would reduce pressure on inflation. Governments (Federal and State) must heed the warnings. (The Feds should reduce State funding, too.)

Labor’s Melbourne
A 29-year-old man wielding an axe caused a major pile-up in Campbellfield, Melbourne's north, during peak hour before attempting to carjack a motorist. Tradies pursued and restrained the balaclava-wearing offender with cable ties, performing a citizen's arrest.
