Mbappe and Lamine did not lose because of PR campaigns. Secondly, Harry Kane did as much interviews as the aforementioned, the difference is that his name won’t generate clicks like them. Let’s start with the interview he did with Owen Hargreaves on TNT, and in that interview, Hargreaves played voice notes of other players like Michael Owen wishing him well. This was a month ago and it didn’t generate up to 120k views, which buttresses my earlier point, watch here: youtu.be/JLwv_xIg5JI Kane did another interview in August with Gazzetta dello Sport, he specifically even said the golden boot was great but he wanted the BDOR. He was even saying what more would he have to do? (Link here: gazzetta.it/en/football/cham…). On the red carpet tonight, that same phrase was repeated. He did another interview with Marca in September, where he said the 73 goals speaks for itself, link here: marca.com/en/football/bundes… He also did another interview with The Athletic. You can check that. There were also little nuggets here and there from him across different interviews. People like Fabrizio are known to farm. Mbappe could have done one interview where a journalist asks him questions, guess what, Fabrizio will break this small interview into several tweets. To us, we’re saying Mbappe and Lamine are talking too much, but you won’t believe it’s just one interview Fabrizio has posted 25 times. I clocked it not long ago when I saw an interview myself. Look at all these interviews I quoted, Fab could do that for Kane and generate as many headlines as possible, but maybe they won’t give him the number he’s looking for. Again, Kane had as much interviews as the rest of them.
When Mbappé and Yamal started doing interviews and pushing PR campaigns, I had a feeling they might lose the Ballon d’Or. Harry Kane was wise enough to stay silent, humble and focused. To every talented young footballer dreaming of winning the Ballon d’Or, my advice is simple: leave the Premier League, that league is too serious and will never allow you to express yourself. You can only come back as a superstar. Congratulations to Harry Kane once again.

the crowd BOOED HIM last night. in London! you can’t convince me there’s not an issue people have. idk if it’s the age, he’s Muslim, he’s black, he’s Arab, he’s Barça, he’s pro-Palestine, he’s confident… maybe it’s all of these things. but people don’t want to acknowledge him.

Curioso.

the Ballon d’Or may be meaningless but the attitude towards Lamine Yamal is a real shame. here’s a 19 year-old among the very best players in the world and he’s being mocked onstage (no one else was) and the crowd was booing him (and no one else). very unpleasant.
the more i think about it the more annoyed i am with how lamine was treated tonight, making fun of him not winning. onstage. in front of him. what pathetic hosting he deserves far more respect. from culers too bc why are some of them celebrating lamine losing ohh shameful fanbase

plays dirty but whines about the refs when losing? Real Madrid mentality. you hate to see it.
Angel Reese on the officiating: "I would definitely say last game...there was also a possession where Gabby pulled me on purpose and she was screaming foul foul, foul and they didn't call it. So that definitely was frustrating for sure. And her team is saying it and they're all screaming foul, but the refs, I don't know what's going on why they can't hear it. And I know I have the mismatch, especially we were talking about matchups. So when I do switch on the post and I'm a lot stronger than the opponent, I should be able to turn and they're calling offensive foul, but I'm getting pushed before that. So that is frustrating for sure. It definitely shifted when we went up 2-1 and things shifted and I don't know what happened, but it definitely took a big turn"

To me, the Ballon d'Or winner has always meant that, currently, they're the best player in the world. If the best player in the world is Harry Kane, that's mental. Yes, he scores a lot of goals (a shitload of them were penalties; 34 in the last 2.5 seasons) but I just can't have it that he's THE pinnacle of football. That he's THE ABSOLUTE BEST in the world.

sauceless statpadding striker who bottled the world cup over both the most electrifying player in the world today and also the top scorer in every competition he played. Kane’s great, but come on…
Game’s gone

they’ll find some ridiculous reason to deny him then as well, just like last year, just like this year. they’re not gonna allow Lamine Yamal take Ronaldo’s record as the youngest winner of the #Ballondor
We will be back next year ❤

the Aggro Crowd Index™️ never fails! Harry Kane wins the #BallonDor for bottling the two biggest games of his life at the World Cup and statpadding against Heidenheim 😂 a complete and utter farce.
last year there were Parisians in the crowd yelling like idiots for Dembele and he won it. this year there are Londoners in the crowd yelling like idiots for Kane. let’s see. 😂

1 - Alexia Putellas was involved in more goals in the 2025-26 UEFA Women's Champions League than any other player (8 goals, 6 assists). Recognition.
