The argument that financial stagnation stems purely from a scarcity mindset completely breaks down when facing severe structural constraints. Even the most disciplined, economically conscious individuals remain fundamentally broke if they are severely underpaid and trapped in a hand to mouth cycle where survival costs consume their entire baseline income. An abundance mindset can only push an individual as far as their environment allows. With privileged people having an upper hand at life. Without critical economic infrastructure such as fair wages, active job creation, financial literacy and accessible professional pipelines, internal drive remains mostly a dream, frozen by a system that leaves absolutely no room for execution.

I spent years asking one question. Why did countries like Singapore, New Zealand, and Denmark become prosperous while countries like mine stayed poor? People gave me every answer you can imagine, from colonialism and education to natural resources, culture, and the ugliest theories about Africans themselves. But none of those explanations answered the part that bothered me most. Why do the same Africans who get stuck back home suddenly build, work, and thrive when they move to a country like the US? The answer was sitting right there. Africa is the hardest region in the world to do business, and we keep pretending the problem is our people instead of the rules around them.

There are pirated copies of #ThePolygamist being sold at Affordable Books in Nairobi along Ronald Ngala Street. I know the book is in demand & I'm working to make it available there through a reputable supplier. Copyright infringement is a crime. Don't support the violation!

If no one goes to prison because of this, we've really failed as a people.

1. Missing children. 2. Defiled children. 3. Sodomized children. 4. Murdered children. 5. Beheaded children. 6. Dismembered children. What the fuck is going on? Why is this country so unsafe for children? Why is this government so silent about these atrocities against children?

Good morning! Please block any rage baiting accounts and refuse to engage. Its easy to spot them - they're usually new/or have very few followers, and they deliberately jump into conversations with insults and rage. Block and refuse to engage! We have no time for nonsense.

My annual plea to the patrons of the wash wash industrial complex. Nairobi doesn’t need another mall or petrol station. Benchmark with the mafia and the Lagos dons. Diversify your portfolios. Allow yourselves to imagine better. Angalau invest in schools, hospitals, parks etc.
Also, now that it’s unfortunately clear that the Wash Wash industry is here to stay, perhaps you can encourage your aunties and uncles to expand their scope beyond salons and car bazaars and perhaps invest in the music and film industry like yahoo boys in Nigeria.

Wow. I'm just in awe. This is Kenya's greatest and most fiercest female freedom fighter of all time. Deep that. Why she's not honoured? that's 100% by political design.

The High Court yesterday made a very important decision. When you take a loan from any lending institution, the amount of interest accrued cannot exceed the amount you received from the institution (principal). Meaning if you borrow kshs. 100,000, you cannot pay more than kshs.200,000 in total. This is good news to many Kenyans. Tag that one lending institution wajionee habari kamili.

I cannot forget that I spent more than a year and a half working with a major international humanitarian organisation, one that prides itself on operating in conflict zones across the world and speaks constantly about the protection of human dignity. Yet when I was evacuated from Gaza, they did not even recognise me. I left Gaza as a survivor of a genocide, disoriented and displaced, and not a single person from that organisation came to see me, to stand beside me, or even to ask how I was surviving. There was no support. No solidarity. No acknowledgment. While I was still inside Gaza, they performed concern. They spoke the language of care. They made it seem as though I mattered. But once I crossed the border and stepped into exile, the illusion collapsed. To them, I had simply been a function of the war, a body working under bombardment, a machine documenting and operating in the middle of catastrophe. Whether that machine survived or died made little difference. If one disappeared, another would take its place. And the truth is that this was not unique. Many of the organisations that operated in Gaza mastered the art of saying one thing and doing another. Their public language is compassion, dignity, and solidarity. But behind that language often lies a colder reality. Inside Gaza they made me feel that my presence and my work mattered. Later I realised that much of that was little more than anaesthesia, comforting words offered to someone who was desperate to believe that the world was still paying attention. When you are living through war, even the smallest sign of recognition can feel like hope. And sometimes that hope turns out to have been nothing more than a carefully rehearsed performance.

Oh yeah, how it was cooked and the frequency of consumption changed significantly due to reservations. I think this applies to githeri too. I was only saying no one introduced ugali to Agikuyu.

Nandi leaders couldn't believe their eyes and ears and now gaslighting residents for heckling them. The message was clear people want developments. For them to say we missed presidential directives because waliambiwa 'wantam" infront of their party leader is ridiculous. What have they done with the budgets they have? Roads in Nandi chaotic Hospital shida People's voices are powerful and that's the reality "kemeche boishonik" (we want developments ) is what they said in unison when President Ruto asked them why they were heckling.

Thousands of Kenyans in informal settlements are evicted from their homes everyday for defaulting on rent of as little as Kshs. 2000. It is never national news. The eviction of Raphael Tuju is just another sad day in a failing nation. No one is immune.

By naming specific individuals in a tweet alleging fraud and corruption with an ethnic slur, you are likely committing defamation (risking a civil suit for damages) and hate speech (a criminal offense under the NCI Act punishable by fines or jail time).

So: The US has moved from fighting a war to preempt being attacked by a nation that wasn’t in fact attacking it (but negotiating with it), to deploying missile defense systems that are between 3 and 10x more expensive per unit that one Iranian missile, into offering insurance to shipping lines going through the strait of Hormuz (via the DFC). Already this sounds too expensive to maintain, while still backing the AI race and a likely return of an inflation crisis. The economic impact of the war on other nations around the world won’t win the US many more friends. Might have been cheaper to just act in the Epstein files.

And the colonial police found their way into the management of our schools - while keeping a leg in the running of paramilitary youth brigades, thereby ensuring the pipeline of pathological civil servants was sustained. A must read:

My fellow Kenyans; I just watched a video of William Ruto proudly saying he has reduced the cost of getting a National ID from Ksh300 to zero… and suspended the Ksh1,300 replacement fee. But wait. Before he became President, IDs were already free. He’s the one who introduced the Ksh300 charge and increased the replacement to Ksh1,300. So basically, you start a fire, then show up with a bucket of water and expect applause. That’s classic political manipulation. And honestly, it’s sad that his government has failed so badly that they now have to gaslight Kenyans with "victories" that didn’t exist. This is normally where a strong opposition would travel across the country, break down these lies, and protect the public. But since they’re quiet, We’ll have to do this ourselves. Stay awake, brothers and sisters. Don’t let anyone rewrite your reality.
