Stop calling it an "affiliate" program. Affiliates want a link. They're transactional. Partnerships compound built on relationships. Affiliates are simply one partner type. Not your whole program. Subtle, but details matter when you're building a world-class partner program :) 🧱 🪵 🪣

9 days into my 30 calls in 30 days sprint and one thing keeps coming up in my partner calls. The person who owns the client relationship would rather introduce you than run the partnership in most cases. Agency owners, consultants, coaches. They don't want to learn your onboarding, sit in your partner portal, or manage another program on top of their clients. Some will but most won't. The goal is to make it easy and frictionless for partners. They want to make a good intro to someone they trust and get back to work. I think most partner programs ask for way too much. Make the intro the whole ask. Make it easy.

I love this idea of the "doorman effect" So many companies right now are rushing to replace humans with AI without considering the second order consequences of what happens after. The "doorman", relationships, culture, and environment of your business is also vital to optimize. Relationships are a key moat and edge in a AI world. I think it is important not to forget that. That is why i'm so bullish on partnerships as the most AI resilient growth channel in the coming years.
A hotel replaces its doorman with an automatic door and saves $40,000. Two years later it's a mess. The doorman was never just opening the door. Before you Delete something, ask Why five times. Find the hidden job first. What was your doorman?

I have really been enjoying @boardyai the last week. I've set a gaol to have 60 calls in the next 30-days. Boardy is setting up one call with someone from my ICP and another from my IPP each day. Boardy essentially has a network of 250k+ and plays matchmaker based on who you want to meet. Very impressed with what @andrewdsouza has built. I'm still very early but it looks impressive. Especially for those who want to tap into another network to find partners to grow your partner program.

I was able to one shot this in with @bot this morning at the cafe on mobile. Recorded a voice over, pulled my brand system from @HQForWork and it was live in 5min. I love these little motion graphic explainer videos for b2b type content.

I ♥️ @supercut_video I had a great call with their partner team to talk over strategy this week and love the product they're building. My goal is to work and help companies of the tools I use on a daily basis. I had recently dropped Loom & Tella for Supercut. Here is why: 1. The video recordings render lighting fast after I record. It is insane actually. 2. I love the "Cut out" video feature which allows my video to sit in the corner with no background. Super slick. 3. Their API & MCP functionality is incredible. This is probably the most valuable right now. I can literally record videos for my team, training, SOPs, and customers updates, and all the recordings now get passed over to my @bot team for context. Very impressed. Try it yourself here: go.supercut.ai/tg

Dub continues to ship and improve the product. Rewarding partners on the types of customers they send you is brilliant. Partner sends you a customer who pays annually? Pay a higher % Partner sends you a customer off your dream 100 list? Pay more Tons of cool use cases here.
You can now customize partner rewards based on any arbitrary metadata you attach to your tracking events / Stripe metadata. Examples: ✦ higher rewards for annual vs monthly plans ✦ different reward % based on sale type (trade vs deposit) Learn more: d.to/reward-metadata

I actually have tried like 4 different open source and wispr flow alternatives and they all "kind of" work. Issue has been dictation accuracy and speed of the dictation. I just switched back to wispr flow because of the issues. Business wise paying for this is well worth it vs the alternatives right now.
Just today I've already seen Wispr Flow, Granola and WHOOP all "reverse engineered" and open sourced with a fully free version Very interesting to see what's happening The question is if normies will pick up on this (I think they will) and how companies will react and pivot to still make money

I've never missed those numbers for anyone I've worked with. Not talent. Leverage. Partnerships are the most capital-efficient channel left, and almost nobody runs them on purpose.

A clear number turns a vague goal into something you can aim at. So: what would $1M in partner revenue change for your business this year? Reply with one line. I read every one.

Here's mine: serve 100 companies, recruit 100 dream partners for each, generate $100M+ in partner-driven revenue, in 24 months. Not customers. Partners. The people who already own your buyer's trust.

And here's the slice I give every client: 100 partners. $1M in partner revenue (or 10-20% of ARR). 12 months.

Most founders can't tell you their target. "Grow the business" isn't a target. It's a wish. I couldn't tell you mine either, until I sat down and forced the specifics.

100 companies. $100M in partner revenue. 24 months. That's the mission for 100.partners. Here's the math, and the number I'd hand you 👇

Congrats to España. They dominated the majority of the game. I'm very surprised it wasn't 5-0. Argentina just didn't show up.

So many partner programs struggle with activating new partners. Focus on collaboration to unlock activation.
