Little known fact: gas fees with L1-equivalent security for ERC20 p2p transfers are ~$0.004, if you use the appropriate scaling solution (payment channel network on top of L2): xitter.gq/bezzenberger/status/15…

While there's still some kinks to work out in terms of UX/channel setup, an "L3" payment channel network on top of an OR is the cheapest way to do trustless ERC-20 transfers on Ethereum at ~$0.004 per transfer. Also the most scalable way (linear scalability via concurrency).

4/ What are Channels? With Channels, the transactions are processed off-chain and gets submitted to the main-chain as two transactions. @raiden_network and @lightning are two live examples of Channels ⬆️Both can process > 1000 transactions/second (TPS)
