No historical evidence shows Igalas selling Igbos specifically to Madam Tinubu. She sourced slaves mainly from Yoruba hinterland wars and trade networks in the 19th century. Yorubas were enslaved precolonially by Dahomey (Fon), Nupe, and Fulani groups via Ilorin and Bida raids, alongside internal Yoruba conflicts.

In the 1800s. Igalas were brought as captive slaves from Fulani Jihadists to Onitsha market where Igbos purchased them. The Igbos masters adopted them, acculturated them and gave them their Igbo names but today descendants of those Igala slaves are twisting history to say the whole communities originated from Igala. This is why our ancestors said “ Ogomegbunam”-May my good works not kill me, because look at how these Igala descendants are rewriting history instead of being grateful that Igbos adopted their Igala slave ancestors and gave them a second chance. @MikeAttahio3f

Below is the chronological list of Eze Aros- the highest title in all of Arochukwu , kindly point out the Ibibio or Akpa names and what Eze or Arochukwu means in Ibibio language. The next image is a colonial era documentation of observed differences between Aro and Ibibios. The writer documents how “Ibibios were of a completely different type from Aro igbos”. The last slide is the list of 19 Aro villages. Please show us the Ibibio names among the villages. Finally also read the last paragraph of your passage and get sense. Nothing in that write up was factual. *Ibom btw means settlement in Aro Igbo dialect. @MikeAttahio3f @Tves500
“In Arochukwu, Igbos, or those known to be of Igbo descent, could not hold titles until around 1906 after the British destroyed the Aro shrine and dispersed it's Ibibio/Akpa ruling class. It was so bad that being Igbo was a stigma until 1906.”

Throughout the precolonial era, European explorers went round various communities and kingdoms in Africa, meeting and documenting their leaders and kings, however it was ONLY Benin where the King (Oba) referred to his subject as SLAVES with an elaborate slave hierarchy system. So of-course you are all Oviens and try to project it to others.
In the late 19th-century, before Igbo people arrived from Equatorial Guinea. Their actual name is Ibo, not Igbo, and Ibo means a dwarf slave. The Ibo slaves were taken to what is now the South-East region by the British in the late 19th-century to provide cheap labor.

There's nothing, I repeat nothing that reflects the igbo identity or the igbo culture in this thing uloma just presented. You were given a brief like that, and there's no part of the design that featured ancient igbo architecture, fabrics/textile and artefacts? No wonder you guys
A brief guided tour of the Ohaneze Ndigbo headquarters under construction in Enugu. A beauty to behold.

Many young Igbo men of today can't gor ofor in their dialect. You give them oji Igbo that has four parts, they start speaking English or praying in English You give them drink to share the elders, they don't know the right step to serve or position to hold the bottle and the cup.

Igala, Bini and Ijaw land grabbers agreed that the language people speak doesn't determine their ancestry. That's why Bini claim Igbo speaking Anioma, igala claim Igbo speaking akpanya, ijo claim Edo speaking epie, bukuma etc. But here now, language now matters, hypocrisy ee😂
Orring people of South East Nigeria are speaking up, they're not igbos but Orring people. Orring people speak a language known as korring and are one of the oldest tribes in SE Nigeria, they're found in 3 states in Nigeria including Ebonyi state They have survived years of bullying by other igbos who have tried to erase their Orring identity, to be socially accepted by igbos, they have to learn igbo language Know that Igbo is a union, not a tribe. It's a union of mostly unrelated people united by the union Igbo, some still keep their mother tongue

The South East should begin massive industrialisation. The billions we pour into gigantic village mansions that are occupied for a few days at Christmas can also build factories, industries and businesses in those same villages and cities. We are already building the talent pipeline through ISEE education interventions, Olympiads and rigorous skills development. In the next two years, we can produce a generation of young people capable of powering these industries. But talent without industry will simply migrate. We must build both. Factories. Technology. Manufacturing. Agriculture. Research. Skilled labour. Capital. Our villages should not just have beautiful mansions. They should have industries that employ thousands of people. We need to wake up. If we combine our capital, talent and entrepreneurial culture with deliberate industrialisation, the South East can become one of Africa’s major centres of production, innovation and human capital within the next decade. The next South East renaissance must be built, not merely discussed.

Ndigbo this our hubris and loud arrogancr is not working o. This is the time to stay cautiously, plan discretely and move stealthily biko. Please cho cho cho na egbu mmadu 🤦🏾‍♂️
Chinese people may take over Lagos or even Nigeria, but they cannot take over Africa. Igbos have established a strong presence across Liberia, Gabon, Cameroon, Ghana, Benin Republic, Mozambique, and many other African countries through trade and commerce. Yoruba and Hausa people can cry until tomorrow, but the reality is that Igbos have gone far ahead in international trade and commerce.

I agree with this. Our refined, cautious and diplomatic Igbo elite need to be amplified and go viral. The damage that all these careless talkers among our Ndigbo are doing, is not worth it.
I think it is high time the really intelligent, patriotic and well educated people from the SE region started speaking to issues. They cannot continue to watch and allow people like this to speak for them, as if this is a true reflection of their entire ethnic group.

We're not ready to say the truth, but I'll say it. Igbo elites and politicians are Peter Obi's biggest enemies. Yorubas are not Peter Obi's enemies, the deranged Tinubu's slaves are. Peter Obi has a better ally in Yoruba Elites than his Igbo compatriots.
