Have a good week everyone and remember: Embarrassment only exists because we mistake vulnerability for humiliation. Thereβs nothing inherently shameful about trying, caring, reaching out, or being seen. We give other peopleβs perceptions far too much power over our existence.x

Several figures here arenβt federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan β May 2026).

Republican Senate candidate in Michigan Mike Rogers said he βcertainly hopes we have the courageβ to act like Israel did with the genocide in Gaza if we came under attack from Mexico, adding that October 7 was the equivalent of β40,000 Americans rapedβ¦ by Mexicans crossing the U.S. border.β
Rogers did not explain how the loss of ~700 Israeli civilians and 400+ Israeli military and security personnel would equal 40,000 American lives.
He also cited widely debunked October 7 atrocity propaganda, including babies burned in ovens and women having their breasts cut off. No human rights group or independent investigation has confirmed any incident of rape on 10/7.
The latest, Amnesty Internationalβs December 2025 investigation, once again found insufficient evidence to establish that rape occurred during the October 7 attacks.

Dockworkers went on strike across 113 ports in 22 countries to disrupt the transport of weapons of war, in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
New Yorkers stand with them. When working people unite in their power, we build a better world.

Breaking my own rule and writing a Twitter essay...
Two days before the midterms, Haley Stevens, the beneficiary of AIPACβs record-setting $30 million in her primary, appeared with Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers at Perfecting Church in Detroit where she claimed that Rogers would βtake onβ investing in Black-owned businesses. She then endorsed him.
This attempted ratfuck is galling for any number of reasons, but what disgusts me most is the willingness of these genocidal white politicians to use Black voters as human shields for their racism against Abdul El-Sayed. Rogers has run one of the most racist Senate campaigns this century, and yet, Stevens is now climbing aboard while ostensibly professing concern for Black voters.
This is an instructive moment in understanding why Zionists must be purged from the party: as believers in a supremacist project themselves, they view Black voters as a faction to be weaponized, not as constituents who deserve genuine representation. They are saboteurs in the broader fight for racial justice. A belief in an ethnostate sustained through apartheid, force, genocide, and domination is fundamentally incompatible with an anti-fascist, anti-racist coalition.
Good luck browbeating the Democratic electorate into supporting some pro-Israel corporate centrist in the 2028 presidential election after this saga.

Marxist feminists (like Silvia Federici and Mariarosa Dalla Costa) argue that the "housewife" is the most exploited worker in capitalism bc her labor -cooking, cleaning, raising children, providing emotional stability - is the foundation of the economy, yet she isnβt paid.

A statement from DNC Black Caucus Chair Virgie Rollins: βMichigan Democrats are proud to stand behind Abdul El-Sayed as our nominee for U.S. Senate and in two days we will elect him to serve us in Washington.
We are dismayed that Haley Stevens has revealed herself to be a sellout who used Black Michiganders for a political stunt.β

It's not Qaddafi. It's not al Assad. It's not Maduro. It's not Xi or Putin. It's British police announcing that anyone even attending a protest will be arrested.
Anyone planning to attend a demonstration in support of Palestine Action in the vicinity of the US Embassy on Saturday, 31 October will face arrest as part of a robust policing operation.
Expressing support for the group is an offence under the Terrorism Act following its proscription in June 2025, a decision upheld by the Court of Appeal in June 2026.
