“It’s not airborne AIDS.” 👌 You’re right. It just causes acquired immunodeficiency across the whole population without sex or blood transmission.
The climb continues.

The example that Donald set for his supporters killed people. Biden normalizing repeat infections and declaring the Pandemic over when it isn't, also, killed people. I have no faith in our government regardless of color, we're on our own.
Six years ago today, Trump finally asked his anti-science supporters to wear a mask in the most racist narcissistic way possible.

Asymptomatic spread of Covid is real and never stopped. An asymptomatic case can lead to Long Covid. Could that person standing next to you in public have asymptomatic Covid? You will never know.

I want to explain more on what I mean when I say that #POTS is a #brain disorder, neuroimmune or neurological. 🧠 It means that the brain, the brainstem and the central autonomic networks play a major role in the pathophysiology of POTS. 🧠 Striking neurologic and cardiovascular symptoms in nearly all patients with POTS point to the impaired neural control of the cardiovascular reflexes, including modulation of heart rate, blood pressure and possibly blood volume. 🧠 It means that we neurologists should be trained in POTS and other forms of autonomic NERVOUS system disorders. What it DOESN'T mean: 🧠 It doesn't mean that neuroplasticity, central sensitization or abnormal interoception are the mechanisms of POTS --> there is no evidence to suggest this. 🧠 It doesn't mean that biofeedback or brain reprocessing therapy are effective --> Zero studies to date that demonstrate these therapies being effective in POTS. 🧠 It doesn't mean that patients with #POTS should be referred to psychiatrists and psychologists for treatment of POTS. 🧠 It doesn't mean that POTS is caused by anxiety, hypervigilance, functional neurologic disorder or fear of standing --> Only physicians with very little training and understanding of POTS would think that. #BrainHealth #MedEd #PatientCare #Neurology
When it comes to precise pathophysiology of #POTS, nothing is for certain. I just read through the proofs of my upcoming paper and had to tone down my certainties from "is" to "may be" and from "mechanism" to "possible mechanism." One thing is for certain though: the brain with its central autonomic networks is a major player in the pathophysiology of POTS. 🧠 #BrainHealth #Neurology #Cardiology #Neurocardiology

Hey, Virginians anywhere near Botetourt County, time to rise up!! Google made a secret agreement to put in 3 massive data centers using boatloads of water a day. Time to make a comment is short. For more on this and links: reddit.com/r/Virginia/s/XQA1…

This statement tells me that you don’t know the history of gynecology in this country…like at all.
Who the hell were these gynecologists treating Epstein’s victims? Because let’s be crystal clear, if you were a physician and you ignored, enabled, minimized, or looked the other way while children were being abused, you failed medicine, you failed ethics, and you failed humanity. Like, y’all just suck. Licenses don’t cancel mandatory reporting. And “just doing your job” is not a defense when children are being exploited. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.

they are human though. that’s the thing. humans are capable of extremely evil things in the name of power & wealth and it doesn’t do us any service to pretend otherwise
I hope all the Epstein stuff makes more people realise that the bourgeoisie are not human

Leftists and liberals who are "over" COVID - would you be fine with ICE maiming 13-52 million and killing 81-175 thousand people in one year? Why is this one form of state violence acceptable to you? Why are you willing participants?
PMC estimates 260 million SARS-CoV-2 infections in the U.S. in 2025. This is 76% of the population, minus within-year repeat infections. This would mean 13-52 million new #LongCOVID conditions, assuming 5-20% per infection. We estimate 81-175 thousand plausible excess deaths.

Wear a mask. Disabled/chronically ill women are significantly more likely to experience abuse and neglect. Maintain what ever your baseline health is as best as within your control because you will be more vulnerable to patriarchy the sicker you are.
What’s your feminist big sister advice for 2026?

The devastating irony that will become painfully apparent when things get really bad, much worse than they are now, is that many people are basing their decision to ignore the reality of Covid19 on the idea that science, medicine, doctors, and scientists will bail us out when we need it. At the very same time that so many are ignoring mountains of scientific, medical, and “real world” evidence, in the name of living “normal”, we the masses continue to navigate life with a chip on our shoulders that we did not earn, and are damn well not appreciative of. In the back of our minds we seem to think someone will have something that will save us, because it's too hard to deal with the fact that when we call for help, no one will answer. Since we have had so many decades of advancement in health and science, as a society we seem to have forgotten that before medical and scientific advancement accelerated, human life was much more delicate than it is now. Advancements have given us longer lifespans, state of the art equipment, life saving drugs and vaccines, quicker recovery times, and all manner of luxurious improvements to our quality of life that seemed impossible just a short time ago, and what have we done with this gift? In the past, a broken leg, tooth infection, ruptured appendix, a simple infection, diabetes, allergies, and a long list of easily treatable conditions, could easily lead to death, but to us, in our world of fortune, dying from those things seems unthinkable now. Why? Because we have benefited from a more carefree world that scientific advancement has gifted us. But again, what have we done with this gift? In short we have squandered it, and we have done so in a manner that has set us back decades. After decades of carefree existence, provided by access to healthcare powered by information and technology, millions decided that instead of facing our harsh reality the way those who came before us had to, that we would close our eyes and push forward, and this will cost us greatly. This will cost our children greatly. Those who came before us didn’t have a choice, they didn’t have the availability of information that we enjoy, they didn’t have access to lifesaving care and medicines, and I am willing to bet if they were told they would have to adjust their lives to avoid death and suffering, they would jump at the chance, no matter what those adjustments were. We have a choice, we can utilize our knowledge and abilities to manage Covid19, we can protect ourselves and adapt to the change in environment, but to date, the majority is content with returning us to a time when viruses ran rampant, people died younger, babies surviving was a coin toss, and there was nowhere to turn for help. There is no one coming to save us, science and medicine may take decades to find a cure or sterilizing vaccine, or therapeutics for Covid19, like we saw with HIV, and we do not have the luxury of time. Each wave of Covid leaves more people damaged, and as that number continues to grow, so will our problems. Many people think, “if I or my kids get Long Covid, I’m sure my doctor will give us something to help” but there is nothing for them to give. Many don’t even believe Long Covid exists, which is a slap in the face of the hundreds of millions who have it. Every single person on earth can develop Long Covid no matter how much you exercise or what you eat, or how old you are, or how many vitamins you take, no one is immune. People are sicker now, society is sicker now, we are seeing a rise in premature deaths, cancers, neurological issues, and all other manner of illness is becoming so rampant that it seems like everyone is sick all the time. We know this to be true, we can see it with our own eyes. The irony is devastating because it is the very science that millions are denying that gave us the collective chip on our shoulders, and provided us with a higher quality of life than any other time in human history. Every passing day will compound the damage, we can not go forward thinking some magic bullet is going to save us, we need to adapt on our terms, while we still have the ability to. Subconsciously planning on running for the life rafts once the water gets too deep won’t work, there are no life rafts.

As an asthmatic I’ve always known that most people think their right to do as they please supersedes my right to breathe. Smoking, perfume, air pollution, pets, real Christmas trees, backyard fire pits, coming to work sick… Gleeful viral spread for brunch isn’t surprising.

I'm going to try to change your perspective on COVID in under 2 minutes and I'm going to use this tweet as a springboard.
I see a ton about long covid from legitimate, scientific sources that if it was even remotely true would have apocalyptic implications, everyone’s heart, lungs, and brain failing at once, and I can’t square it with the world I actually observe every day.
