One point worth investigating urgently is NHS England’s policy on continuing funding for cancer treatment following a medically necessary break, including interruptions caused by surgery or serious illness. There is a formal process for requesting approval to resume treatment after an extended break.
I’d ask your oncologist to clarify whether that process applies to you before accepting that stopping means permanently losing access. A multidisciplinary review involving oncology and cardiology might also help establish the relative risks of restarting versus remaining off treatment. You deserve to make this decision on medical grounds, with the funding position properly clarified.
