“while in F1, or rather, at ferrari, i've always struggled” we never forget his wet quali in that sauber
some really good news from charles: "knowing I had a 10-place penalty, i decided to be much more aggressive in the directions i was going in during qualifying, working on the wing and the various steering tools. it's an experiment that will pay off, because i've been at ferrari for nine years, and i have to tell the truth: i've never had the feeling i had in the lower categories. in the lower categories, wet conditions were perhaps my absolute strength, while in F1, or rather, at ferrari, i've always struggled. we still have to find the right balance, but today is a positive day because we tried so many things. in certain moments of qualifying, in conditions where there's usually no feeling with this car, the feeling was very good."

His dedication to solving problems with the team will never cease to amaze and impress me. If there is no way he'll make one
For the first time, and I never thought I would be able to say this, Charles is happy with the car’s behaviour in the wet. For the first time, he felt that same feeling he used to have when driving in the rain in karting. Credit to the team, because they’ve done an incredible job working on this issue. Charles clearly sacrificed his qualifying session, knowing he had a penalty. He used it to help the team understand the car better. For him, this qualifying session was basically an FP2. He made so many changes to help the team better understand the car’s behaviour in wet conditions, so they can work on improving it ahead of 2027. Now we’ll have to see whether it works tomorrow. I’m confident, as always, and hoping for a win, even if it seems very difficult. The most realistic target is a podium. We’ll see, but bravo to Charles and the team! #F1 #BrazilGP 🇧🇷

Though everything aside, the cars didn't shit themselves and we actually had a wet qualifying! Small mercies in this dumb reg set the software patch seems to have worked after Sepang!

Always good to hear that the delusions are alive and well. I'm looking forward to whatever you got in store for us!
"i'm feeling good (about the race). i mean, i'm looking forward to it. we knew, taking an engine penalty here, we knew that everything still needs to play out because you've got crazy weather all the time. it's good to see that the weather is still crazy for tomorrow, and hopefully that will give us an opportunity to come back onto the podium from where we start." How people take these statements at face value is fascinating to me. Is the ability of pattern recognition and reading context clues also dead? Like nothing happens in a vacuum please pay attention. Every action has an equal opposite reaction or what the physicists say.

Let's hope this peace lasts longer than the last one did. Also talk about making 180 after slandering him in the media. But again this us better than another melt down.
Lewis Hamilton tells Sky F1: Me and Charles, we sat, we spoke, we quashed it... And now we move on. No demands from either side, both giving our points, areas we can do better and support each other and I hope we can have some good races moving forwards.

Charles being classy and ready to bury the whole situation for good? Dunno what anyone else expected really. I've been saying this flame won't be fed by him and good for him. No playing here is the surest way of winning as paradoxical as that sounds.

Also love the slight backhand in there but subtlety usually flies over everyone's head here

Ooooh I like it when he talks dirty to me like that
Charles : “So, it was a session where we had a lot of performance at certain points, and much less at others, especially on the inters towards the end. But honestly, it was a good session. We tried a lot of different things. We knew that we were going to take the penalty anyway, so we could afford to take a few more risks and experiment a lot more with the car, even stopping during the runs. Although we have parc fermé restrictions and cannot change too many things, there are still certain adjustments we can make, and they allowed us to understand a lot of things today. So, it was a positive session. Obviously, the result is not satisfactory at all. We're not happy with fourth place, but I think we've always had a very tricky car to drive in the wet, and I think there are a few things we've understood today.” #F1 #BrazilGP 🇧🇷

Considering the worsening conditions P4 is a great showing especially since the inters really weren't working great. We'll take this p14 here and hopefully make something of it tomorrow!
