So many times analysts keep getting $GOOG wrong! It's a no brainer google will be one of the very few last men standing in the AI race in years to come along with Nvidia, Amazon, SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic and in the $10T club.
Spotting winners and making money is sometimes super easy if you have right combination of interdisciplinary skills and knowledge.
Prediction (14 Aug 2024): $GOOG will double from current level in less than 2 years coz of AI tailwind.
Throughout my 20 something years in investing, SpaceX $SPCX is the largest arbitrage Iāve ever encountered. Itās not a misunderstanding in the usual sense ā itās a cognitive error at market scale, and that error is the edge for anyone willing to look.
Management has published guidance and data in the open; the spoon is right there in front of everyone. Yet large parts of the market still canāt see it, or simply refuse to, because the numbers are genuinely that extreme. I donāt know whether this window stays open for one year, two, or ten. But I suspect that whenever it closes, looking back will be one of the more interesting exercises in modern market history.

<<Marginal costs of all models will go to ~$0.>>
Nah! Moats will appear in the form of compute/ energy, data flywheels, capital allocation and will concentrate with few frontier labs/ hyperscaler.

Prediction: @elonmusk has three aces up his sleeve -
~ Tesla + Vision AI = worlds best robotic firm
~ Twitter + GenAI = worlds best media firm
~ SpaceX + Starlink = worlds best logistic and global coverage firm
Q is if it is accidental or deliberate or first principal thinking!

Have been thinking about this argument for quite some time. I think you canāt compare big tech to legacy companies where startups have distinctive advantage (namely software). By the very nature of software (especially AI) itās very easy for big tech to kill startups overnight.

Autonomy robots is such a wild crazy high impact field to be captured and Tesla seems to have its eyes set on it. Most people donāt understand it yet similar to how they missed GenAI couple years back when OpenAI released first GPT APIs.

AI is not software. Hence lot of people donāt have the natural intuition for it similar to how lot of non software people donāt have it for software.
For software, people miss things like scalability, replicability, compute speed, marginal cost etc.
Similarly for AI, people (including from software) miss things like semantic search, one shot intelligence, agentic behavior etc.
