I joined Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore for its 16th Annual Caregiver Conference in Dover to recognize the family and professional caregivers who support our neighbors every day.
Caregivers deserve access to the resources, respite, and support they need to care for themselves, too. I’m grateful to Easterseals for bringing Delaware’s caregiving community together.

I led a bipartisan push with @RepBrianFitz urging OMB Director @RussVought47 to reverse plans that would inject partisan politics into the funding process for cancer research.
New York institutions like Stony Brook and Cold Spring Harbor are leading the search for tomorrow’s cures and we can’t allow politics to upend their lifesaving work.

It was amazing to see their accessible tools and adaptive practices in action, which ensure everyone can participate regardless of ability! Perhaps the board isn’t aware that the Kennedy Center is 𝗧𝗛𝗘 memorial to the president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Would they rename the Lincoln memorial? The Jefferson? That would be an insult to great presidents. This too is an insult to a great president.
Notwithstanding their short-sighted action, it is and will remain the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

A new red panda has officially joined the pack! Carnivore keepers at our Front Royal, Virginia conservation campus are celebrating the birth of an unnamed cub, born to first-time mom Keahi and dad Rocket. Keepers say the cub, born June 22, is doing great.

As our conservation campus is closed to the public, Zoo visitors will not be able to see the cub. However, stay tuned for an update for International Red Panda Day on Sept. 20!

Today I stopped by the Easterseals Military and Veterans Campus in Franklin and heard about the critical work that they do to support New Hampshire service members, veterans, and their families, including with this first-of-its-kind facility.
