Please don't quit your job and go "all in".
Find an hour each day to grow a side project.
Replace 60% of your current income while trending in the right direction.
Then make your move. Almost always a better decision.

A bigger product isn't automatically a better product.
The goal isn't to add features just because they sound impressive.
It's to understand the user, solve the immediate problem reliably and expand only when there's a good reason.
That's the approach we're taking as we build.
If you've ever helped organise an event, I have a question for you:
What is the one moment during an event when coordination becomes most difficult?
I'm building in this space, and I'd rather learn from real experiences than guess from behind a screen.
I no go dey surprised if na all these UNN final year students and their sign out.
Great Lions and Lionesses 😂😂
I don't want to confuse a product's first version with everything it could eventually become.
Tymly starts with a desktop timer.
But the problem space I'm interested in is broader: helping people coordinate events better around time.
⬇️
Some of the most useful products aren't built around spectacular problems.
They're built around recurring frustrations.
A process that takes too long.
A task people keep doing manually.
A coordination problem everyone has accepted as normal.
That's why I'm building Tymly.
Building Tymly has me thinking beyond just software.
There's understanding the people who will use it.
There's figuring out which features matter now and which belong in the future.
And there's communicating the value clearly.
Writing code is only a part of building a product.

Meet Tymly – Your Helpful Chronoguide.
We're starting with a desktop countdown timer designed to help teams keep speaking slots on track.
Our focus extends beyond the countdown itself: we're exploring how better tools can support event coordination.

I'm building Tymly.
The starting point is a desktop countdown timer designed for live speaking slots.
The larger vision is event coordination.
I'm deliberately starting with a specific problem instead of pretending to have built an entire event management ecosystem.
Once upon a time, Fridays used to mean the weekend, rest and peace of mind.
These days, Fridays are just a reminder that another Monday will be here in the next two minutes.
The struggles mehn 😪🤧

While you’re overthinking, others are posting.
While you’re perfecting every word, others are posting one-liners.
While you worry what people will say, others are cashing out.
You win when you become one of the “others.”
Simple.
Let's talk about event coordination.
If you're organising a conference, seminar or church programme, how do you currently keep speakers within their allocated time?
A countdown on a laptop?
Someone holding up a sign?
A phone stopwatch?
Something else?
I'm just being curious.
A tool is only as useful as the problem it helps someone solve.
That's why I don't want to build Tymly around the question:
"How can I make a timer?"
I want to keep asking:
"How can I help people coordinate events around time more effectively?"
