Intrigued by my bio, or by something I said? My DMs are open, and I'm happy to answer sincere questions about my faith. No need to be afraid to offend me - I know that most people disagree with me about God! I used to be in that camp too.

Today in why do people
I set a submission deadline and two weeks later someone sends me an article
I'm due to publish today. ๐ฌ

Joke making the rounds in Israel is that Israeli elections are like shopping in @IKEA. First you make the choice, and then you scratch your head over how to assemble the item
Still sad that someone mistook this as approval. Description โ approval. And being controversial is not in itself negative - just dangerous in cultures that tend to murder people for it.

My thoughts exactly. He was killed because he dared to be controversial in Islamic culture.
Still totally zapped one day later. It was one of those group things when you keep moving from one bitty conversation to another! And I was right in the middle of the table. Introvert life is hard, yo.

This should be made into a game... Get people to guess the 10 worst current conflicts in the world and most of them will say Gaza (which is currently running in 12th place)
Interesting! I know my husband is perfectly comfortable driving at night, while I find it super stressful.
More women than men donโt like driving at night. Turns out thereโs a physiological reason.Men have more rods in their retinas which gives them better night vision. Just another under researched difference in our biologies.

The third weirdest thing about this line of reasoning is that Palestinians don't want to be Israeli citizens and vote in Israeli elections. 1/
Arabs living in Palestinian controlled territories (Area A & Gaza): We hate Israel, we don't want to be part of Israel or have anything to do with it. We'll hold our own elections, with no Jews allowed. (They haven't held one in more than twenty years.)
The same people: the Jews won't let us vote in Israel, it's apartheid!
Meanwhile Arabs living in Israel vote every four years as equal citizens.
Current status: survived a group social event in the actual morning, have had one snooze and one afternoon coffee and am fully expecting to nod off again any minute now. I am, for those who might be new here, an introvert night owl. Difficult time etc. T&P.

"What's election day like in Israel?"
Oh you know, pretty normal. Probably the same as every other country.
Just seen a post on a WhatsApp group where someone actually asked who we're all wanting to win today's elections
Glad to see the only response was an appropriate emoji reaction: ๐ค
Ok, men in shorts all year round is something I'm used to, but today I saw a guy cycling without a shirt on
In England at the end of October

At last I found out - ok, I could have googled, or asked ChatGPT I suppose ๐

"GPT" stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer, the underlying artificial intelligence architecture the model uses.
Found on phones and gomputers everywhere.
When you check out a local company you'd never heard of and the first two glowing reviews are word for word identical ๐ค๐ค๐ค
