Attention lab technicians: PLEASE start listening to your patients. Today went like it often does. Me: “They can only get a vein in my hands. Please use this one.” Tech: “Everyone says that. I’m going to try your arm.” Me: “You’re not going to get it. Please don’t.” She tried anyway. Dug around. Tried again. And again. And again. After 6 sticks, she finally used the vein I pointed to in the first place. Then she tried to blame it on me being dehydrated. Well, I have active Crohn’s disease right now, so yes, I probably am. But, had she listened to begin with...

Did CarWars in this scale, would work for Dark Future games, too.

Given how quickly the first version was ported, just wait a day or two...

I once had a blood draw, got a call at 2 am that night 'hi I'm doctor [name] with [testing lab] who just reviewed your initial test results - you really should go to the emergency room right now... I'll call ahead.' Be glad they run the test at all hours. They'd call if urgent.
Healthcare is the only industry that drops your cancer scan results into an app at 11 PM on a Friday, then closes for the weekend. No call. No context. Just a PDF full of words like "suspicious" and "cannot be excluded" and a little banner that says "Sleep well!" Meanwhile billing found me in 4 hours 😐

At least as far back as the early 90s, irc servers were all described as such - 'merely a compatible api'

irc is still the basis for many chats, such as twitch.

They have a lovely power takeoff on the bottom... Not that it was necessary: xitter.cf/ASwavely/status/211482…

Where I lived in the late 80s, every summer one of the neighbors would strap pontoons to his honda atc and putt around the lake every weekend.

A tip to make editing easier: clap once between takes and twice when you did one you like. The peaks are real easy to see in the audio track.

I do believe the Schenectady Idea Factory is still open for mail order.. 😆 I always liked the idea of jotting down one liners on index cards for later use
