My latest, for RT "By maintaining cordial relations with almost all sides in the conflict, India was able to evacuate its citizens safely, purchase discounted Russian crude, & continue development of Rupee-Ruble, all while not bearing any significant blowback from the West"
How India balanced all sides in the Russia-West conflict - Op-Ed by Alexei Arora on.rt.com/buwd

A maid who used to work for my parents recently bought a 12 Lakh Rupees 1RK flat with husband It's in a ultra low income neighbourhood in West Delhi, but it's hers She ran away from village 20 years back after her father had beaten her black and blue for eating leftover Maadh Bhaat (Water Rice) as she was hungry Her husband is a daily wage labour and the couple earns close to 50k together, celebrates birthday of kids with cake and decorations, orders stuff online When we say absolute poverty in India has reached 0%, we are talking about people like this maid
JUST IN: Extreme poverty in India has fallen to nearly 0%

I would hate to break it to Indian LeLis. Western and South American populists see Modi as a blueprint, not an adversary, let alone an ideological adversary.

Lula was a metalworker who rose against a military dictatorship and from his grit rose to become President. Rahul is a fifth-generation dynastic feudalist who mismanaged his party extensively to record hat-trick of embarrassing defeats.

It's going to cause American data centers which are centred in the Middle East (Dubai mostly) to have to be forced to rely on Mumbai and Bangalore servers. Iran is going to Indianize the internet even more.
Replying to @HormuzLetter
Damn it, India will lose its internet. DON'T DO THIS IRAN, I DARE YOU. I DOUBLE DARE YOU

India has the worst of both worlds: iPhone Pro Max-wielding insufferable bitches calling for Adani's wealth to be redistributed.
Is India a socialist country or a capitalist country?

Sharjeel Imam has shown once again that liberalism, secularism, constitutionalism and social justice etc exist in the subcontinent only within the Hindu polity. Outside it, they have no existence.

Renames the Department of Defense to Department of War *Currently losing a war* Moves Eisenhower's globe because they couldnt wait. *Breaks the globe* Yep, mandate of heaven lost.
They broke Eisenhower’s globe because they didn’t want to wait for a team of specialist historians to move it. I cannot think of a more apt metaphor for Pete Hegseth’s DoD.

The karyakarta is kept on a steady drip of civilisation churan. Every municipal poll is the Third Battle of Panipat. Meanwhile party bosses cut deals shamelessly with anyone who can help them stay one more second in power. No wonder every crook has been rehabilitated and every corruption case has been compromised.

Yes, prominent US-based political activists, influencers, and now even aspiring politicians in the GOP, who have openly normalised and legitimised “anti-Indian hate” and dehumanising language/labels, going beyond their own immigration grievances, is all due to Russian bots.
India should really re-examine its relationship with Russia. Russia clearly was funding a huge bot farm to amplify anti-Indian hate online. Since Ukraine bombed Yandex, all those bots went silent.

"Resorting to terminology that carries painful historical and colonial legacy connotations is deeply offensive" is not “hits back”. It is whining.
Breaking India hits back at US Vice President JD Vance "indentured labour" comments for H1B visa holders "Resorting to terminology that carries painful historical and colonial legacy connotations is deeply offensive" "Such descriptions are unwarranted"

I would rather have an authentic RW party with 180 seats than a soft-Ambedkarite party with 240 seats.

“Our goal is to help shape Indian geopolitical relationships and even foreign policy (esp with US and its partners) for India’s next 100 years” Interesting formulation by a US citizen and megadonor to one US party, who often admonishes Indian govt for not following US diktats:

The Soviet Union too knew where to keep the useful idiots. They put them in Patrice Lumumba University. They did not touch the Moscow State Univ which produced 11 Nobel laureates, or their Academy of Sciences' institutes. We have screwed IITs by polluting them with humanities.

In comparison, when Trump introduced the Innovation Security Act and the BIOSECURE Act against China all Chinese-origin lawmakers opposed it.
🚨 This Indian-American US lawmaker Raja Krishnamoorthi backed the Russia sanctions bill, which could impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries buying Russian oil and gas, including India.

MBS is learning why mercantile states often lose wars. Carthage and Venice learned this the hard way.
ANALYSIS: The past 24 hours has seen truly extraordinary events take place in the Middle East between Saudi Arabia and Ansarallah (Houthis). Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Al-Ula, Jazan, Yanbu, Khamis Mushait, Taif, and the Farasan Islands… all SMASHED by Ansarallah. What’s that? The capital city of Riyadh? Yup. Blasted. The second largest city in Jeddah? Boom. The critical port of Yanbu? Bang. What we’re seeing right now is a Saudi Arabia COMPLETELY defenseless against Ansarallah strikes. And while this is astonishing given Saudi’s military budget and equipment, it’s also remarkably DANGEROUS. Right now, Mohammed bin Salman, MBS, is facing a REAL threat to his control over Saudi Arabia now. Particularly in the past week, the world has watched as Ansarallah took total control over the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a key chokepoint to the Red Sea. Then, we watched as Iraqi militias (reportedly) hit the Saudi East-West Pipeline that allowed KSA to move oil from the East side of the country to the West, avoiding the Strait of Hormuz threatened by Iran. Now, we’re seeing Ansarallah strike EVERYTHING in Saudi Arabia at will… and MBS looks like a fool. An embarrassment. A LOSER. All the money in the world can’t fix that now. Sure, he could potentially throw money at Ansarallah, lift the blockade of Yemen, and stop meddling, manipulating, and torturing the sovereign country of Yemen, but that won’t fix the ENORMOUS blow to his reputation that the last week has imposed. No. In all likelihood, we are on the verge of a MAJOR Saudi escalation in Yemen. But if recent weeks are any indication, it will only lead to greater devastation to Saudi Arabia and the global energy markets already on the precipice.
