He is a clown but occasionally he gets one or two good scoops.

Patriotism and Nationalism is fine but when you look at how British and American businessmen are compared to Arabs, you would never want "local" or yank.

So Luckhurst says Carrick stays because they aren't sold on any of the alternatives, Sully says Carrick stays due to financial reasons. Which is true.

Beggars belief.

Conte 3rd in that list, Howe first. When it should be in the reverse order. Utter travesty.

I honestly don't know how we get into these positions of repeatedly hiring shit DoFs like this. Any small time clown like Wilcox is always going to be afraid of working with elite and vastly experienced managers like Conte.

Scholes is a better DoF than Wilcox.

If Howe gets them CL every alternate season & 7th-9th in others, that's enough. All they want is a puppet who keeps us just at the cusp of relevance for sponsors. Recent ESPN brief gives some hope the Glazer parasites sell up in a couple of years and free us from Ineos too.

I can even understand the fascination for Iraola. But the idea that Howe improved that Newcastle team is a myth. He hung around 7th place with the odd 4th, 5th and one Carabao cup which is actually below par for their spend. And finished 12th. He is just a midtable manager.

They don't even have the competence to win the Championship.

...to go for Howe who will proceed to turn us into a permanently midtable team.

Same as Ole. Missed out on Conte then too. What's with this club and deja vu for all mistakes ever made lol.

Did they also note that they sing about Bonfires and Wilcox being related to Colin?

He kinda sorta kept Ole in the job after a 5-0 thrashing to Liverpool at home to avoid going for Conte (who went to Spurs instead). In the end, Woodward had become exactly what Wilcox is. Mourinho's fall-out made him scared of elite managers.

"Steadying the ship" is their ambition. They won't replace a coach who gets them 5th every odd season (CL) while finishing 7th or 6th in other seasons. We need a coach who aims for higher and can get higher right from the get-go, to succeed despite these leeches.

One silver lining is that someone is not sold on Howe. Hopefully Jim.

I don't think they mind paying a bit for him if they like him. As for him not being interested, well, our lot are thick as pigshit so they probably can't figure that out as yet.

Conte literally won the PL lol. They can stick their "prem proven" up theirs.

They want Emery. Because he can work with average players (saves money for Glazers), is a "big" name (Jim approves) and is PL proven as well as humble (Wilcox's ego appeased). They hope Carrick can last till the summer, then they can try for Emery. But Carrick is hopeless.
