By this time in 2000 I’ve lost over half of my portfolio. I didn’t “give up” & kept buying dips. By the end of 2000 I lost it all and went deep into debt. Be careful which path you choose. If not sure cash is always a position. Losing it all to get the peace you want is painful.

the binance hacker just did something genius and it should scare you tether froze $1.5 billion in stolen USDT. circle froze $800 million in USDC. everyone's celebrating like the problem is solved meanwhile the hacker deposited the stolen USDT on aave, borrowed ETH against it, and walked away. because USDT can be frozen. ETH can't he's never paying it back. he doesn't need to tether and circle just proved they can freeze billions in seconds. and the hacker just proved that if you know how defi actually works, none of that matters the freeze saved some of the money. but the smartest money was already gone before anyone pressed the button

Elle range l'argent de ses clients à deux endroits : Le coffre-fort (cold wallet). Pas connecté à internet, il contient presque tout. La caisse (hot wallet). Connectée en permanence pour payer tout de suite les clients qui retirent leur argent. Ce soir vers 21 h 30, trois caisses ont été vidées. Environ 2,7 milliards de dollars partis en quelques minutes vers un seul compte inconnu. Le coffre-fort n'a pas été touché. C'est l'argent de qui ? Des clients. Comme dans une banque, l'argent de tout le monde est mélangé. CZ, le fondateur, dit s'attendre à ce que tous les clients soient entièrement remboursés. Comment le voleur a fait ? Pour sortir l'argent d'une caisse, il faut sa signature. Il a réussi à l'obtenir. Personne ne sait encore comment. Pourquoi on sait que c'est un vol ? En crypto, toutes les transactions sont publiques. Pour agir, le voleur devait payer de petits frais, environ 230 dollars. Il les a payés avec de l'argent passé par Tornado Cash, une machine à laver qui efface l'origine de l'argent. Binance n'aurait jamais fait ça pour déplacer son propre argent. La bonne nouvelle : plus de 2 milliards volés étaient des dollars numériques (USDT, USDC). Les entreprises qui les émettent les ont bloqués. Le voleur les a, mais ne peut plus les dépenser. Le reste, en Ethereum, ne peut pas être bloqué. Vous verrez passer le chiffre de 5,6 milliards. C'est tout ce qui est sorti de Binance ce soir, mais rien ne prouve encore que tout est parti chez le voleur.
