Spot on
INEOS, Berrada and Wilcox don’t want to sack Carrick not because it’s the right thing, it’s because the don’t want to look stupid & admit their mistake with their second managerial appointment #MUFC

😂😂😂😂😂🤦‍♂️ stop confusing Carrick the player, who is a club legend - with Carrick the manager who is CHAMPIONSHIP LEVEL at best.
🚨🗣️ Rio Ferdinand: “He [Michael Carrick] is going to try and make it as HARD as possible for anybody to get him out of that seat. “It’s a HOT seat, it’s one of the biggest seats in the game. It took a long time to get there. “He's worked hard enough to get THERE. He ain't gonna make it easy for anyone if he can. “Could this be the Mark Robbins moment for Michael Carrick? The Mark Robbins moment that Sir Alex Ferguson had where a goal CHANGES everything. “Is the Cunha goal gonna be the change for Michael Carrick and this team?”. #MUFC [@RioMeets]

This is a shambolic way to run the club. 2 wins should not cancel out 20 shit ones.
🚨🗣️ @AndyMitten on if Manchester United will part ways with Michael Carrick after the Aston Villa game: "If Manchester United beat Aston Villa, I would be stunned if Carrick lost his job. I have no evidence that they’ve already decided to sack Michael Carrick and I speak to lots of people. I think it’s prudent that Manchester United also know what the market is and who might be available." [@TOTDevils]

very happy with the comeback and win, but i really hope they don't use this as an oppurtunity to keep carrick. that first half was diabolical, along with our past 13 games this season. no matter what happens after villa, sack him and appoint someone new during the intl break

carrick on the glazers in his 2018 autobiography Between the Lines: "I think the Glazers have been great owners. Couldn't really ask for anything more the Glazers need a lot of credit for how they've gone about it United have progressed under the Glazers on and off the field."

The problem is the squad isn't fit enough. So they probably do look good in training because they're up against players in a similar physical condition. Then reality hits on match day.
Michael Carrick on dressing room morale: "My responsibility is to the players. Outside is not for me to focus on. I know we can affect. I know what help the group need, guidance at certain times and dealing with things, that's part of my direct role. Of course we've spoken. We have meetings. The boys are hungry. We're hurting because we haven't won enough football games. But there is an intensity, an edge, a hunger to do better."

Not signing a striker when your only striker has been out for the whole of pre-season with a persistent injury was the greatest act of idiocy and self-harm by the Manchester United hierarchy and emblematic of their hopeless reign

How many games has Bruno started as a pure 10 this season? I am not talking about winger or false 9 gimmick. Why did Carrick change something that was working last season? He got to realize this system and strategy ain’t working. Got to make big changes to his structure.
