23:15 hrs. Tuesday 27/10/26 The Ned taxi rank, Poultry, City of London Driver pulled onto rank. Wouldn’t move when asked. I thought @TfLTPH were clamping down on behaviour? Did you actually send out the letters to the Private Hire drivers? @The_LCDC

The entire board of the Mayoral Development Corporation should resign now and Lord Khan should wind it up. Abandon failed solutions borrowed from “European experience” and think about specific place and culture.
Oxford street tonight …what could possibly go wrong??

In a few days these black cabbies will be transporting veterans from various stations across London to the Cenotaph. So today is a shout out for them. @TaxiCharity

#OxfordStreet was much safer yesterday than it is today. Despite the street being pedestrianised, cyclists are causing havoc, and I have nearly been run over by one.

BREAKING: Israeli elections have ended and the exit polls are in. All three Israeli channels have Netanyahu's bloc at 50. Eisenkot's bloc is at 52 or 53. The Arab parties are at 17 or 18, the most seats they have ever won. Likud finished first with 24 or 25. Yashar is second with 21 to 23. Bennett has 12 to 14. Nobody has 61. Netanyahu cannot form a government without Bennett, and Eisenkot cannot form one without either Bennett or the Arab parties. Israel had the highest turnout in its history today, and the country is still split down the middle.

Did you know? Heathrow's third runway could add over 100,000 jobs across the UK. At least 50,000 locally, plus 5,000 apprenticeships for young people. BUT it only happens if it gets built. TODAY, Heathrow's public consultation OPENS. And opponents will be filling it in. Here's how you can help: Respond to the consultation. Tell them you SUPPORT expansion and want it built FASTER. Opens: TODAY The DEADLINE is the 22nd of December First proposed in 2003. Earliest opening: 2039. We can't afford to wait any longer. Link below 👇

I understand us cabbies annoyance at having a significant part of our regular work environment removed , but why everyone of the Left feels a desperate need to endorse a road closure and most on the right believing London is finished because of it is beyond me . 🤷‍♂️

Pity that the mayor followed the same practice as Camden Council when they pedestrianised Camden High Street. Same mistakes made, lacking access provision. When both are made permanent both better correct these mistakes or I am sure legal action will be taken.

Breaking News Dame Joan Collins will be at Claridges at 1230 on Friday. She’s being taken by one of our liveried taxis and hopefully will be photographed and say a very few short words about our service. Thanks to Andy Scott and Lisa for initiating and making this happen

This is just embarrassing. In 2019, Notre Dame burnt down. The damage was immense, costing nearly €700 million to fix. It took 5 years to reopen to the public. In the SAME WEEK, Hammersmith Bridge closed because of some structural damage. It didn’t burn down, and it didn’t collapse. Cars and buses were banned from using the bridge. Seven years later, it STILL has not reopened. We have spent £60 million since the closure, and we are nowhere close to opening it again. This is what happens when we forget how to build. Bridges close, and we are just meant to accept they will never open again. Potholes appear in the roads, and they never get fixed. Trains get delayed, and that’s just “how it is now”. We should never accept this. We are campaigning against it. Join us. What do you think?

Something very bizarre happening under this tweet. TfL account this morning said the poster wasn't authorised by them, and had even been reported as flyposting. But we found evidence of the same poster in an official press release from last month... (1/2)
Disgusting insinuation in this campaign. Absolutely appalling @MayorofLondon @TfL @ACT

A dad of 4 has been left brain dead after being shot in the face after trying to break up a road rage argument in Woolwich. Dad of four pulled over in his van and tried to intervene when two motorists argued. A relative wrote on Facebook: “An innocent man at the wrong place at the wrong time. Family man who was on his way home from work.”
