In a free market Bitcoin would have never existed. We need to blame the government for these delusions becoming pervasive in society. I am not anti-Bitcoin. I am pro-freedom. Get the state out of money and nature will heal itself.

If you ignore the noise and keep grinding, self improvement is always possible. Big journeys are made with little steps. Don't let the haters (including the negative voices inside) put you down.

#Gold consolidates following strong short-covering rally: The pullback yesterday and during Asian trading today appears driven by broader risk aversion and profit-taking after CTAs and hedge funds completed an initial round of aggressive short covering. A rebound in oil prices, whose earlier slump helped trigger the rally, has added to the consolidation pressure. So far, the setback remains relatively shallow when measured against key Fibonacci retracement levels, and as long as gold holds above USD 3,975, we view the weakness as a correction following a strong rally rather than the start of a renewed downtrend. In the very short term, developments in US equities and, not least, President Trump's next moves regarding Iran remain the key drivers to watch. Meanwhile, lower Treasury yields and fading expectations of a December Fed rate hike continue to provide underlying support, partly offsetting renewed dollar strength.

Pence: "The unfinished war against Iran became an albatross around the necks of Republicans because Washington stopped short and pursued appeasement rather than allowing our troops to finish off the threat posed by the Iranian regime, once and for all." This is always the line, from both the left and the right, whenever something they wanted the government to do fails. "We just didn't do it hard enough." "We should have funded it more." "We should have used my superficially different plan instead." "It was a good idea--it just wasn't executed well." Another classic, not in that quote, but elsewhere in Pence's WSJ article, is "The problem was the image/messaging, not the policy/program."
My thoughts on the Midterm Results: My heart breaks for our country. Despite the best efforts by so many to support Republican candidates and call conservatives back to our principles, our Republican team suffered a historic defeat. This midterm election wasn’t a rout, it was a reckoning. The American people have rejected our party’s shift toward economic populism, and our majorities in Congress and state legislatures and governorships across the country paid the price. But like most people of faith, I’m an eternal optimist. I know that with God’s help, we can save our movementβ€”and our countryβ€”again. We can return the Republican Party to the timeless principles that have led to our greatest successes and, more important, have made America strong, prosperous and free. The conservative comeback starts today. Let’s get to work. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Nice.
Two UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ detectorists (Alan Daniels, 48, and Andy Crammond, 34) struck #gold at a rally near Carlisle -- three pristine Bronze Age gold torcs, around 1100 BC, weighing 518 g and worth over Β£300,000. Buried for 3,000 years and still shining. A proper treasure. #metaldetecting πŸ“Έ BNPS

Not to alarm anyone, but the BoE tends to underestimate inflation. If they see 5% next year, you may want to brace yourself.
🚨 NEW: The Bank of England is now predicting that inflation in the UK will rise to around 5% next year, up from 3.2%

My answer is simple: I'm antipolitical, but I am willing to become a single issue voter for a candidate who seriously plans to abolish the Bank of England and replace it with nothing (i.e. privatise money). That candidate will never exist, of course.
I’m politically homeless in the UK. People often ask what would make me vote for a political party. My answer usually explains why my ideal party will never exist, and why I find what’s on offer so utterly lifeless and unappealing. So here it is… I don’t want another long line of Westminster lifers, professional bullshitters and policy wonks who’ve never had to make anything fucking work. I want mavericks, I want dynamos, I want people with the nerve to fuck shit up, and the competence and desire to build something infinitely better. I want people willing to shatter Westminster’s cosy little racket and expose, in all it’s disgusting glory, the putrid cesspit underneath it all. Including when it’s their own mates who are swimming in it all. I want people who want to build, to unleash the animal spirits of a country that’s spent far too long in a slumber, being told to sit down, shut up and accept that everything in our lives has to be a bit shit. I want people who aren’t terrified of upsetting someone. I want people who can tell a vested interest to fuck off without first consulting a focus group. I want a giant bonfire of our labyrinthine tax code and the excessive regulation that makes building anything worthwhile feel like an act of civil disobedience. I want people willing to shut down the useless institutions and taxpayer-funded talking shops that survive every single failure, achieve absolutely fuck-all and somehow always need more of our money. I want people who demand accountability for failure instead of handing out knighthoods and promotions for it. I want people who understand what government should be for, can also actually do the job, and know where its authority and influence should end. I want people who can see how absolutely fucking miserable this country has become and offer a vision of something better that we can all strive towards. Where everyone can participate. I want a country where you can build a business, build a home and build a future worth looking forward to and be able to celebrate it for the great thing it is, rather than have it torn down. I want a country where ambition has somewhere to go. But most of all, I want people in power who understand how much this country could do if government would get the fuck out of the way. Any takers? @SDPhq @eleanorrofe I'm looking at you. Fancy it?

And yet, if this bunch of misfits, rejects, hobbyists, etc, that Mr Tucker talks about was elected to Congress, the US would be 10X better off than it is today.
Outsiders looking at the Libertarian Party always think it is real. It is not. It is an assembly of wanna-be rejects from mainstream politics, hobbyists, bunco artists, all-over-the-map ideologues, druggies, fanatical sectarians, lonely social misfits, and deep-state assets hoping to use this shell of a party as a spoiler. Consider: the most predictable shift after ever nomination is that 100% of party members viciously attack the nominee. It's like a ritual, wholly predictable every time. Trust me, the LP is not worth taking over. It has no money, no talent, no reach, and no real cultural assets. Gigantic waste of any person's time.

Funnily, something major is missing and is no less important : the blatant corruption and grift of many in Trump’s family, circle and administration. That needs to be prosecuted and not inly by Dems. This needs to be a non-partisan effort to bring back trust.
The Vance postmortem lays out a path forward that is a major departure from current policy. The big question is if he secured agreement from his boss, who's been less "engaged" on these matters

This has happened to me. I had to sublet as I couldnt sell. Service charges increased, costs for landlords increased and now I get Β£300pm less in rental income than I pay out & there's no escape. Can't sell, can't leave empty, can't increase rent πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. This is "Affordable Housing".
Countless reasons. Imagine being a leaseholder who can't sell and therefore is forced to become a landlord. Then their service charge goes up by 20-30% (many such cases). Now they can't raise rent, and they can't sell. They have to pay for someone to live in their flat

πŸ‘ You can't cut your way to prosperity, because people pushed into poverty aren't productive. Two decades of austerity have destroyed the UK, its time to end the failed experiment & invest in our country again.

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί The EU is introducing a €10,000 cash payment limit in 2027. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ Switzerland has no such general limit. Reminds me of an old Swiss joke πŸ˜‚ A German walks into a Swiss bank and whispers: β€œI’d like to withdraw €10,000.” The Swiss banker replies loudly: β€œSir, no need to whisper. Poverty is nothing to be ashamed of in Switzerland.” πŸ’€

All those rich Brits who escaped to Milan are about to tuck tail and run again. The world is becoming a dangerous place for wealth of any kind.
FAFO… politicians can’t help fucking up what actually works. This will end up costing Italy something very precious: trust. Something France learned the hard way. It’s an ill-thought, ill-structured proposal that will backfire bigly
