This is the message I received from @ AmForZion who follows me. I do not follow him. I usually do not answer these messages. But he required such a public response: “First off my name is Jennifer. Not Jenny. Indeed Dr. Cassidy to you. Second, look at every single comment I made post Oct 7th condemning the acts of Hamas and calling for the return of the hostages. Just as the world did. How many times must a person say this. But have you said once about the barbaric actions of your govt which the entire world and international bodies have condemned. I suspect not. Second, I turned off my comments because in my 12 years on Twitter I never received one death threat. However, come the time I speak out against Israel violating international humanitarian law; principle of distinction, principle of proportionality and the twisted use of the term “military necessity”, I received hundreds of death threats from Israeli accounts, and physical ones to my office. So what does that say about those you support? That they immediately go to violent and savage death threats. Nothing like I have ever read in my life. All from those backing the “most moral army in the world”. So save, your sanctimonious speech about Oct 7th and my decision to turn off comments. I condemned the actions, I am still calling for a return for all hostages. But nothing, NOTHING, is good enough for you. You cannot hold two opinions at once in your head. Condemn Hamas, call for the return of hostage, and condemn the slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians. You think you care about humanity. But you only care about those you consider human.
