2,439 students in Sylvan’s 6 PUBLIC schools. The UCP govt is SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for the unacceptable capacity pressures in these 6! And Devin? Delusional or brazen? Calling 126 student spaces in PRIVATE, UCP ally, tuition-charging Christian school, “HUGE” news for Sylvan Lake.
Huge news for Sylvan Lake! It was an honour to announce $4M in provincial funding to the Lighthouse Christian Academy. This funding will help build a new school and add 126 new spaces for students in Central Alberta. Construction to start soon!

Is the Edmonton Islamic School different than the Edmonton Islamic Academy? At the latter, students are apparently subject to the regulations of the “Division of Public Health” at the “Department of Health and Social Services”.

Fun Fact 1 — @JohnBrassardCPC has a Grade 12 education as his highest level achieved. He flunked out of community college (next to impossible to do) eventually becoming a fireman. Fun Fact 2 — Diana Fox Carney has more letters after her name than needed to spell John Brassard.

Building Canada Strong isn't just about pipelines and northern security, it's about building a strong sense of Canadian community. For all Canadians. Premier Kinew is looking for a new path and Canada is listening. We are all better together. 🇨🇦
It’s a good day to be Anishinaabe. It’s a good day to be a Canadian. 🪶 🍁 Miigwech to Prime Minister Carney, Grand Chief Cindy Woodhouse, Chiefs, Leaders, and all the First Ministers, who listened to the shared wisdom and vision for Canada. As our National Chief said, this can’t be a one and done. We must continue building relationships, working together and making Canada stronger for everyone. #AbolishTheIndianAct

🇨🇦 OFFICIAL NOTICE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: YOUR ACCOUNT IS SERIOUSLY OVERDUE. AMOUNT OWING: $80,613,183,000 USD. PLUS SANTA. Dear America, Following a comprehensive review of our trade relationship, Canada has discovered a rather troubling oversight. For more than a century, Americans have enjoyed unrestricted access to Canadian actors, musicians, comedians and filmmakers without paying a single Canadian Talent Export Tariff. Frankly, we’ve been far too generous. Inspired by Washington’s innovative approach to international trade, we’re introducing an entirely fictional 50% RETROACTIVE CANADIAN ENTERTAINMENT TARIFF. Interest and penalties apply, naturally. Overlapping credits and creative accounting have been enthusiastically incorporated. PAYMENT TERMS Payment is due immediately. Canadian dollars, certified cheques and unmarked hockey pucks are accepted. Failure to pay may result in additional penalties, collection proceedings and the temporary suspension of Canadian comedians working south of the border. We apologize for the inconvenience. Actually, no we don’t. FINAL DEPARTMENT: CHRISTMAS Santa Claus ………………………….. PRICELESS Canadian postal code: H0H 0H0. Retroactive tariff: PRICELESS. Accumulated interest: ALSO PRICELESS. Always a UCP grift. If there isn't an angle to pocket some cash for themselves, or cronies or their masters, the government of Alberta doesn't do a damn thing. Smith's UCP isn't governing for Albertans, they're picking the public purse to fill their pockets with our tax dollars.
Oh, look! Is Abigail Schimke, the UCP’s Central Alberta Director, the same Abby Schimke who works in Administration at Lighthouse Christian Academy — the very school that was just awarded $4 million by the Government of Alberta? 🤔

Alberta UCP Premier Danielle Smith promotes Bill 33’s protections against deepfakes, and her description is accurate. But the government’s own release on the bill is headlined “Scrapping DEI hiring practices.” The same bill changes hiring rules across Alberta’s public institutions, which her post doesn’t mention. Read our thread to learn the facts 🧵
Alberta UCP Premier Danielle Smith says Bill 33 would, if passed, protect Albertans from intimate images shared without consent, “whether the images are real or fake,” with fines of up to $10,000, up to two years in jail, coverage of AI-generated content, and the right to sue over threats to share. What the post doesn’t mention: the government’s release on Bill 33 is headlined “Scrapping DEI hiring practices.” The same bill amends the Alberta Human Rights Act so hiring and promotion in public institutions, including school boards, universities and municipalities, are based on “merit and job requirements” rather than diversity, equity and inclusion policies. It also limits mandatory DEI training. The post doesn’t mention that part of the bill at all. Read our thread to learn the facts 🧵

First, define 'intimate'. Then tell us if 'nonconsensual images being shared without consent whether the images are real or fake' could in theory include a real picture of you shaking hands with Trump. This stinks of cover for potential rights restrictions to protect yourself.
