It cannot be overstated how much red tape Republicans added to the process of getting Medicaid and SNAP. Millions of people who literally qualify for these programs are being kicked off them, despite qualifying, because of all the red tape Grassley voted to add to them.
Republicans hv been hard @ work cutting red tape 2 lower costs+ make life easier for Americans We hv already overturned 23 Biden era regulations thru legislation GOP is committed 2 slashing heavy-handed gov policies

706 corporations raked in $198 billion in tax breaks last year. That's on top of $263 billion in tax breaks from the corporate rate cut in 2017. Their collective tax rate for 2025 is the lowest we've ever tracked.

The @WestVirginiaAG alleges WV Rivers engaged in “unfair” or “deceptive” practices through claims that fossil fuels cause climate change, severe weather, and economic damage, treating the group’s climate advocacy and scientific claims as potential commercial fraud.
Attorney General J.B. McCuskey’s office issued an investigatory subpoena to West Virginia Rivers Coalition for a decade of records on climate claims, internal deliberations, fundraising and partnerships. buff.ly/qFBIyAv

We used to have a federal survey that measured hunger in America, but the Trump administration stopped conducting the survey right after the bill that cut food assistance was passed.
We are seeing a hunger disaster unrolling before our eyes. Since the GOP passed the Big Beautiful Bill, 2 million kids have lost food assistance. These are by far the deepest SNAP cuts in history, and each month, we find out it’s worse than we thought. The worst is yet to come.

In Raleigh County, Mabscott Elementary teachers buy their low-income students new clothes and take their clothes home to wash. Now the small school is on track to close, and parents worry their kids will become nameless and faceless. Lawmakers could help. mountainstatespotlight.org/2…

School closures are forcing some people into using the voucher when their first *choice* of a public school nearby is taken from them, in some cases when it isn’t their preference. That’s why all hope # growth isn’t necessarily proof of popularity or preference

Americans are right to be outraged about corporations paying too little in taxes. Corporate tax revenue dropped by roughly $70 billion over the past year while corporate profits soared. Trump's 2025 tax cuts for the rich have fueled that. nytimes.com/2026/10/17/busin…

This is a silly argument that ignores differences in scale and scope between Hope and public education. Public schools serve 10x as many students and provides transportation, meals, books, special education services, & certified teachers, none of which Hope providers must do.
Replying to @wvu999
Hope doesn’t cost $4B annually like the public education system, 20% of the districts for which are under state takeover due to offenses ranging from actual criminal fraud to wanton fiscal mismanagement.

I don’t understand this. Riley Moore is one of the most anti-worker members of Congress, and he has directly led to the closing of public schools in southern WV. Do better United Mine Workers (they don’t let me tag them anymore!)
From defending coal jobs to protecting miners’ pensions, I will always fight for West Virginia workers and their families. I’m honored to receive the endorsement of my friends at the United Mine Workers of America and President Brian Sanson for my record of standing strong with our coal miners.
