An Australian reporter and a bystander rescued a man from his car as it became submerged in floodwater on Thursday, October 22, in Morayfield, Australia. The driver was pulled to safety after his car stalled while crossing the floodwater. The pair managed to rescue him just moments before the vehicle was completely submerged.

In September 2014, Elon stood under a tent on an almost empty beach at the very tip of South Texas, waves crashing just over the dunes, and broke ground on a launch site. In May 2025, he stood in front of a crowd at that same corner of Texas and said it plainly: "not that long ago, there was basically nothing here." Now it's a city. Literally. On May 3, 2025, Starbase voted to incorporate, 212 to 6. In Elon's words, "the first new city made in America in I think quite a few decades." I love the "I think." Even his victory laps come with error bars. What gets me is how it got there. One of the first things to fly was Starhopper, a stubby steel tank on legs that he calls "the original sort of Mad Max rocket." In August 2019 it hopped 150 meters. Then came prototypes that flew, flipped and sometimes exploded in full public view, right next to a public highway. That's his pattern. Pick the thing everyone says is impossible, build it in the open, break it, learn, build the next one, and keep going until the laughing stops. "In the space of about five or six years... we've built a small city... and a gigantic rocket factory for a gigantic rocket." Then in October 2024 the rocket came home and the launch tower caught it. His reaction: "it's really mind-blowing that the SpaceX team has been able to catch the largest flying object ever made multiple times." My favorite detail? You can just go and look. Anyone interested in seeing the largest flying object on Earth "can come here anytime they want and just drive down the public highway and see it." Name another place where you can watch the future get welded together from your car window. Why does a sandbar in Texas matter to me, thousands of kilometers away? Because it proves you don't need permission to build the future. You need a team, a beach, and the stubbornness to stay on it. The mission hasn't changed since the groundbreaking: "to take humanity and civilization and life as we know it to another planet for the first time in the 4 and a half billion year history of Earth." And the line I keep coming back to: "we can be out there among the stars making science fiction no longer fiction." From empty dunes to a city that builds Mars ships. I made a short film about it.

Something deeply wrong with Talarico
James talarico headlined a Pride event alongside an 11-year-old child drag queen named "Kween Kee Kee." One attendee posted video of the young boy doing the splits. Another performance was by an adult man who goes by the raunchy name "Sedonya Face." The event touted more than 30 kids in attendance. #TXsen

In your own words …
Every word is James Talarico’s. 27 clips. 4 minutes. 2019–2026. “God is non-binary.” “…many more than two biological sexes. In fact, there are six.” “If you deny your child’s gender identity… it’s abusive for sure.” “There’s only one person who can determine a child’s gender identity, and that’s the child.” “I want to acknowledge that our trans community needs abortion care too.” “…the bill that would have denied gender-affirming health care to trans children… All these ideologies stem from this Christofascism movement.” “The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for the U.S. Senate, and my position hasn’t changed.” “Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness.” “It’s always rich to me that defund the police is considered off limits…” “Prison is violence.” “Tear down this secret police force.” Assault weapons ban? “Absolutely.” Send this to 10 Texas voters and tell them to vote today.

Elon Musk hilariously explains why Optimus has to learn like a toddler, by playing, making mistakes and getting better over time 😂 “In order for Optimus to get the training data we need, we actually need to make a lot of Optimi. So we need to make, I think, on the order of 10,000 or 20,000 bots and then have them do self-play. We're building up an Optimus academy where Optimus can practice doing a very wide range of tasks And then we can use that data in a flywheel to make it better and better at these various tasks, a big difference with Optimus versus the cars Is we don't have this vast fleet of cars from which we can gather training data. So with Optimus, we have to bootstrap it by making the robots and having them do self-play, which is really how a human learns to navigate the world You can see this when you have a toddler and they grow up and they initially are wobbly and they don't know how to do things, and eventually they, they learn to wipe their own ass, which is a big milestone, because anyone who's had kids knows And then they learn to read and do all sorts of things and be able to do these things. And they learn this by playing And we actually need Optimus to play at scale in order to have it be really good at tasks in the real world”

I still can't code, but I accidentally built an AI filmmaking studio while making 3 songs (Unbelievable) 22 days ago posted my first SLOPCORE this is again ANY DAY NOW, but reimagined in 1959. Blues meets Atompunk. ☢️🎸 Every video is a new experiment I like playing with machines so much. Made this song for 💥 #sloptoberfest ( 50k in prizes!!!! ) 3 more songs coming in next days just to increase my chances in the contest and escaping from Berlin winter☀️🌴 My plan? South Africa. Ke Dezemba! Making slopcores in the beach! Let me know if this makes you dance like it did to me the first time I heard it. 😂🕺 I was jumping around my house! still can't believe you guys are watching this. Thank youu! BRB!
I can't code. I just talk to machines. Suno → Midjourney → 116 clips (Kling + Wan) Claude coded every word and graphic on the beat. I don't know what I'm doing, but this is my first song. ANY DAY NOW (The Robots Are Coming) ✈️🤖

Today I early voted in Texas. Straight Republican. Dems are not worth the risk to all the great builders and projects here. Can't stop, won't stop.

James Talarico supported the Biden Border Crisis, attacked law enforcement during the BLM riots, and wants to end run oil and gas in Texas. He is not moderate in the least. His vote for six years in the Senate would be a disaster for Texas and the USA.

Elon Musk on Optimus V3: "We may be ready to release a video in about a month or two. I want to release a video where Optimus is doing things that aren't pre-programmed. A demo that you can believe. Another milestone we want to get to is integrating the AI5 chip in Optimus, which will be in April 2027."

“Noncitizens don’t vote,” they said. So how is it that 28% of noncitizens in California have voted? These things can’t both be true.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT 🚨 Federal Lawsuit against California shows that 28.8% of noncitizens in California HAVE A VOTING HISTORY California elections are not legitimate, noncitizens are voting at an extremely large scale - Los Angeles County elections officials took a sample batch of 200 ballots - The 200 ballots were taken from a sample of 20,000 that the Trump Admin says are noncitizens - Of the 200 ballots that were taken, 71.2% of the 200 have no voting history This means 28.8% of the noncitizens ballots DID have a voting history Nearly 30% of noncitizens are voting in California elections based on this sample. I’ll bet it’s much higher

After Muslims burned Danish embassies and killed roughly 250 people over cartoons of Muhammad, Western media hid the images while the UN investigated the newspaper instead of the killers. Flemming Rose ordered the drawings in 2005 specifically because Danish publishers had already stopped illustrating the Prophet. Imam Abu Laban then carried the originals plus 3 images he fabricated himself around the Middle East to manufacture larger outrage. Kurt Westergaard spent New Year’s 2010 locked in a panic room with his 5 year old granddaughter while a Somali chopped through the door with an axe. When Charlie Hebdo reprinted the cartoons in 2020, a teacher was beheaded weeks later for showing them in class. 20 years later, most Western newsrooms still refuse to print them.
