In 2020, over 700,000 Americans worked on the election. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick offered up to $1 million to anyone reporting fraud. No poll workers or election officials came forward.
Election fraud is usually carried out at the lowest levels, by poll workers who are typically not very bright and not well compensated for the felony ballot stuffing they're committing. As in 2024, a lot of them are doing the basic arithmetic of a few hundred bucks vs jail.

A classic chart to counter the wisdom of crowds idea. US Americans are absolutely clueless about how common things are. They think over a quarter of Americans are Native Americans, one in five Americans is transgender, over a quarter of the population are Muslim, one in five households earn over half a million dollars. The right answer to all of these questions is 1%. They build their worldview on totally incorrect assumptions towards reality. Data literacy matters.

I did not and would never consent to this administration running my fanart through AI and posting it. Can’t even believe I’m saying these words.

Artist Devin Elle Kurtz calls out the U.S. Department of Education for using AI to alter and repost her ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ fan art without permission. “I did not and would never consent to this.”

Americans are immune to propoganda, they just on average think 21% of Americans are trans and 27% are Muslim for no real reason
I never want to hear about how Americans are propagandized again. We learn about the founding fathers' slaves in middle school, meanwhile grown ass adults in China think Mao was under democratic constraints somehow.

How does Bun's AOT work? Can it emit ARM/THUMB code, like for the STM32? Is it possible to interface with existing native code (like a C ABI)?

NYC Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani referenced Avatar: The Last Airbender while announcing a major water infrastructure project in Central Park. "In Season 1, Episode 16 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jeong Jeong of the Order of the White Lotus teaches us: water brings healing and life. While lacking waterbending powers, New York City has engineered a cutting-edge recirculation system for Central Park's Pool, Loch, and Meer to replace the current use of precious drinking water with a reusable supply, redirecting clean water into homes. Additionally, the system allows water levels to be lowered ahead of major storms to reduce flooding risks and sewer overflow. Funded by $35 million in public and private investments, the landmark project is projected to save over 175 million gallons of clean water annually."

Non-terrible political instincts are a surprisingly rare commodity in American politics.
Look, even if we set aside the antisemitic debate, there are exactly zero undecided single-issue Israel voters in Michigan. Putting that ad out is not about helping El-Sayed, because anyone with a modicum of political instinct knows the above. It’s about attention and being inflammatory.

The people cutting employees while revenue is growing are the same people you're counting on to pay your UBI out of the goodness of their hearts.
Microsoft is offering buyouts to 60,000(!) employees. Headcount and revenue growth is really starting to diverge at tech companies.

The fact that this "Legend of Genji" is a fanfiction and not actual canon really shows how delusional most ATLA fans are in wanting to claim the Avatar franchise as their own and take it away from the very creators who brought it to life in the first place.

Any recommendations on models to use for discussions on software architecture instead of actual coding?
