The glory of the Lord shines on me and reveals who I am in the marketplace.
I've been showing up at Nigeria Energy since 2018. Back then I was just a young guy trying to learn the room. This year I walked the same floor and had people I'd never met come up to tell me the work ethic behind @bafemSOLAR and @KommercialSolar has pushed them to go harder on their own projects. One person even sent me money. 😂
Same conference, different season. I didn't set out to be anyone's example. I just kept showing up and doing the work. To now hear that the way we build is moving others to build too? That's a different kind of fuel.
Grateful, humbled, and just getting started.

Hello @inecnigeria, I am certain you know you are walking on low trust levels. You should submit yourself to independent audit. Your voter database has been compromised and can’t deliver right results for Nigerians.
In 2023, Governor Bassey Otu’s polling unit, Primary School, Adiabo Okurikang (PU 09-15-01-003) in Odukpani, Cross River, had 684 voters on the register.
The 2026 preliminary register has 3,092.
That’s 2,408 new voters, a 352% increase and one of the biggest jumps of any polling unit in Nigeria.
Look closely at the photos. Many of them appear to be AI-generated or stock images from the internet, and some faces are turned sideways. Photos captured live at a registration point don’t look like this.

The official numbers on African SOLAR PV are wrong. Not by a little. By half.
According to Ember, a global energy think tank, Africa installed a record 17 GW of solar in 2026, and roughly three-quarters of the recent growth is distributed solar that official statistics barely capture.
I build in that invisible market every day. Rooftops. Businesses. Homes. The boom is real. The data just hasn't caught up to it yet.
Thank you for this beautiful question. All you need to know and more is at vote4obi.com

Infrastructure is the foundation everything else stands on. Economies grow on it. Societies are built around it. Development starts with it.
That conviction is why we keep deepening the partnerships that let us build it properly. Beyond SRNE, we are now also working with GoodWe across solar, storage, and energy infrastructure.
This is the work. And this is where you will find me: building these foundations, and backing them.
Band A was supposed to be the reliable tier. Now the gas shortfall means it goes off for hours, so you run to the generator, and diesel is punishing. You are paying twice for power you still cannot count on.
I have been building the way out.
We bring in GoodWe and make your solar, battery, grid and generator work as one system. Solar carries the day.The battery holds power for the night. The grid and gen sit in the background, and it always runs on whatever is cheapest. When Band A drops, it switches so fast your machines never notice.
Reliable power. Far less diesel. A bill you can finally plan around.
If you are stuck between bad grid and costly diesel, let me show you out.

A 2026 report by Ember found that Solar PV is now the single biggest addition to grid capacity in many African countries.
An example is Senegal. Senegal is aggressively adding solar capacity in a pace that almost 80% of its entire 2023 grid capacity. Also DRC and Kenya adding more than half.
In Nigeria, we are arguing about, “solar can never be like grid”. You see the lack of education and understanding of the “physics” behind the National grid?
In this same 2026, 17GW of Solar PV has been installed across Africa on Ember’s new estimates, up 45%, the third consecutive record year.

For me, this was a 2022/23 Conclusion.
Here's the 2026 Utilization for my Abuja House.
Abuja House was empty till May this year.
8kwp (say 12 Panels)
6kw(kva) Inverter
20kwh Batteries.
The system is over 3 years old now.

A quick personal update.
Alongside leading @KommercialSolar as Founder and CEO, I am now personally taking charge of our energy infrastructure arm: BASELOAD, our renewable asset management and O&M company, and EVTaper, our EV charging infrastructure business.
These two carry where we are headed next, and I want my own hands on them as we build and launch. BASELOAD goes live in January. EVTaper is already in motion.
Internally, this means I am stepping directly into the role of Commercial Manager, Energy Infrastructure for these two businesses, owning their growth and their direction myself.
Same mission, sharper focus. We are not just putting power on roofs. We are building and running the infrastructure a serious energy future depends on, and these are the businesses that prove it.
African roots. Global standard. Intelligent energy infrastructure.
Before you put any power system at the heart of your business, ask one question: will the company behind it still be here in eight years?
With GoodWe, yes. It is the number one storage and hybrid brand in the world, publicly listed, with safe LFP batteries built for thousands of cycles and hardware made for tough industrial sites.
We bring that global quality, install it, and keep it running for you through BASELOAD, our maintenance team.
Premium, and proven. That is the standard we build to.

GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY
Good day, Mr President.
I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office.
I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target.
Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world.
Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government.
The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

One of the biggest questions we get at @bafemSOLAR is: "What if I need more power later?"
This project from our archive answers it perfectly. We installed a robust 12kW SRNE system with 18kWp of solar and dual lithium storage. It was a powerhouse on day one, and it was built to grow.
Why this hardware wins:
1️⃣ Scalability: Need more storage for rainy days? We just click in another battery module.
2️⃣ Power: The 3-phase inverter handles heavy surges from pumps and compressors effortlessly.
3️⃣ Longevity: Lithium technology means thousands of cycles (years of life) with zero maintenance.
Don't just buy solar. Buy infrastructure.
We are revisiting some of our favourite past builds this week.

My goal is for more people to be understand how these things work, and run the numbers themselves. It's like expecting a Camry to be faster than a Lamborghini. It's just impossible.
Energy comes at a cost and it's very rare to see who runs their gen 24/7.
In this solar and offgrid discourse, something I would like to add is that, energy comes at a cost. We need to have realistic conversations.
Solar energy is the only available source of energy to the common man that is the cheapest (being affordable is a different conversation).
What's the equivalent cost in petrol generator? Diesel? Grid ("the cost reflective band A"?
What is the lifespan for your solar setup? When you spread that your solar setup installation, how much do you get energy cost wise?
That's why as much as possible, I encourage people to get the best quality in their budget grade, and if the bulk money isn't available to do a fully optimal setup for their energy need, they can start something lean and scale up.
Honestly the optimal direction for residential is a 48v setup. I started with a 24v setup and I had to sell it (sold at good price because I bought standard stuff), because the 48v was what was going to be better for me long term.
So if you're starting and you want to do it long term, please start from there. You have better efficiency, more suites of products. There's also nothing bad in starting very small and doing gradual upgrades till you get to where you want to be.
Again energy comes at a cost. Even with band A light, you self won't even power all these appliances you want to power with solar 24/7. There's no limitation to what solar energy can power, it's a budget or skill issue. Cut your coat according to your size, and always do your own research.
If you want to do more peer learning about solar energy and other things, there's a community that exists on telegram. I have benefited immensely from the people there, and I urge you to benefit, and also contribute your experience to the community too.

You have to understand there's global evidence of solar being deployed at megawatt scale. Your 5kva setup messing up is just a sign the right thing wasn't done.Low quality equipment,Incompetent technicians among other issues.

I don't argue on Twitter,
I don't want more followers,
I am not monetized,
I don't sell anything,
And I don't want anything.
Together with @supersanusi @bigbrovar @netotse and a couple of friends we started an 8000 plus solar and DIY group.
If you can afford it? Get solar.
WHO SAYS RURAL COMMUNITIES MUST REMAIN IN DARKNESS? NOT UNDER PRESIDENT TINUBU’S WATCH ooo
The MD @TheREANigeria @abbaaliyu_ has flagged off the development of 2 interconnected mini-grids and 35 isolated mini-grids, providing approximately 18.8MW of solar generation capacity in Zamfara State @Zamfara_state @daudalawal_
2: A total of 125,106 households across seven LGAs in Zamfara State will benefit: Gummi, Gusau, Kaura Namoda, Maradun, Shinkafi, Tsafe and Zurmi.
3: This is what President Tinubu’s administration is doing to expand access to electricity, create jobs, unlock economic opportunities, support businesses and improve livelihoods in rural communities.
4: Real development is not just about big cities. It is about taking opportunities, infrastructure and a better quality of life to the grassroots. @zyainy @DrAishaYahayaN @trenddaytrader @zamfara_blog @ZariyiYusufu @Usman_Yau_78 @zyainy @easydigita @Eazzy_Ayo622121 @Pathfinder077 @Kingpin_black1 @Tinubunewmedia @YP4Tinubu
