About this H5N1 mink farm in Utah. It is REALLY dangerous to let bird flu spread unchecked through mammals, especially minks, which have similar susceptibility & respiratory physiology to humans. The virus can adapt to human hosts by adapting to the respiratory tract of minks.

Badass Norwegian parliament member Peter Frølich broke his country's export laws to smuggle thermal-imaging drones into Ukraine after Norwegian customs blocked the shipment in 2023.
When government bureaucracy stood between Ukrainian soldiers and urgently needed equipment, Frølich decided to take matters into his own hands.
The drones were delivered, the Norwegian government subsequently changed the regulations, and Frølich says he has no regrets.

I don’t really understand this. There is a science to crowding and solutions, both mitigative and definitive have been articulated and are well understood. The only conclusion can be that governments the world over either don’t give a shit about the unnecessary suffering and death or collectively are science deniers.
Sooner or later it was bound to happen. Somebody figured out how to easily turn a bunch of e-scooters with lithium batteries into one big bomb. I bet most police services don't have any plans to mitigate that before big protests.
