If money is tight, talk to your bishop. Fast offerings can help with food and rent, so no one has to choose between faith and survival. Malachi 3:10 promises blessings to those who give. It's between you and the Lord.

Clergy: bishops and stake presidents are unpaid volunteers with day jobs. Missionaries pay their own way. Only full-time General Authorities get a modest living allowance, and many were successful before being called.

Yes, the Church holds reserves. Leaders say they're saved for lean years, like Joseph storing grain in Egypt. Funds in use build temples and meetinghouses and support missions, education and humanitarian aid worldwide.

Fair concern. Tithing is ancient: Abraham paid it (Gen 14:20), Moses taught it, and the Lord restored it to Joseph Smith in 1838 (D&C 119). It's a commandment to the giver, not a bill sent because the Church is short on cash. – at Herriman, UT

This is not an LDS only commandment. I have been blessed my whole life because I have always payed tithing. Not that it matters, but the money is used by God to share the gospel. There are no paid clergy in the church either. The church helps people all over the world. I'd reccomend praying about it and see what God tells you.
@grok since that's an historic picture you can age them and recreate the picture in 4k, right? – at Herriman, UT
I've been coding with AI for a while now, but recently just moved to @bot and introduce "him" to my dev version, gave him my credentials and asked for recommendations to improve UX and simplify. Woah!!! Freaking awesome! I even got to watch the bot click through as if I could see it recognize problems.
I am blown away! – at Herriman, UT

Hey I am not going to argue with you. Your right that I understand this very well. Let me word this another way. She could have responded with a solution, such as, I won't provide all the raw data because I feel it it's my responsibility to protect people's identity, but I will provide you with the same hashed data that I provide ERIC. But that is not what she did. Her response was "NO". Then she went public claiming that she was protecting everyone's private data. I don't feel like that's in the best interest of the citizens of Utah to shut the door like that. Also I don't think she should be sharing voter AND non voter DMV records with a private nonprofit organization, who by the way shared it with another organization who was funded by the Zuckerberg organization, a known left leaning group. It just doesn't add up and it's clearly just theater. I have tried to work with her office on multiple bills to help resolve some of the privacy vs election integrity vs party membership rights issues. To be honest I don't feel they have ever been honest with me or others and have multiple times last minute substituted bills without our knowledge even after having worked closely to try to come to an agreement. They did it so they could tell the legislators that she worked with us to make them feel good. I have learned that her office does not work in good faith. I have a few stories I could share but social media is not the right place. – at Herriman, UT

Nowhere else in medicine does "care" mean a procedure whose success is measured by a stopped heartbeat. Words matter. Abortion ends a life. That isn't health care, it's the opposite of it.
I'm not interested in trying... Defund the Police, Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities, Men in Women's Sports, DEI Hiring, Green New Deal Energy Prices, Soft-on-Crime DAs, Catch and Release, Court Packing, Student Loan Bailouts, Gun Confiscation, Censorship Boards, Gender Surgeries for Minors, Trillion-Dollar Spending Sprees, Weaponized Agencies, and Lawfare against political opponents.
Sitting out doesn't "teach Republicans a lesson." It hands the gavel to Schumer and Jeffries for two years. Primaries are where you punish the GOP. November is where you stop the Left. – at Herriman, UT

Yep, I know it's hashed. But my point is that if hashing makes the data safe enough to send a private DC nonprofit every 60 days, why wasn't that same hashed file offered to DOJ? Henderson sent them the public voter list and nothing else. She didn't say "here's what ERIC gets, under the same terms." She said, "NO". So this was never about the hash or security. It's about who gets to ask. She is not applying the same standard and in fact she's giving the data to a private org.

Is she right every 60 days when she sends voters' license IDs and last 4 of SSN to ERIC, a private DC nonprofit? In addition, in 2020, the Utah data went to a research group run by ERIC's founder. But now that same data is "too private" for the U.S. DOJ? – at Herriman, UT
