Pablo Picasso, the great

NOREEN KHAN NIAZI, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother, is in the ICU right now, with police stationed outside her room. Her family is just a few feet away, separated from her by a door that has been chained and locked. They cannot see her. They have no proper information about her condition. Not even the simple reassurance of seeing their mother with their own eyes. What exactly are the authorities so afraid of? A daughter holding her mother’s hand? I cannot help thinking of my own mother. If she were lying in a hospital bed, sick and frightened, all she would want is to see the faces of those who love her. To hold someone’s hand. To know she isn’t alone. That is what breaks my heart about Rani Apa. Her children are right there, close enough to know she is inside, yet unable to reach her. She poses no danger to anyone. Keeping a sick mother from her children is cruel. Please, let her daughters see their mother. Let her know she is not alone. #NoreenKhanHealthEmergency #شوکت_خانم_کی_شیر_اولاد #FreeImranKhanAndFamily
