Many people think that the words “Artificial Intelligence” are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI). This is a Poll, and I would appreciate everybody voting! Which is the best name for this ever growing “Revolution?” President DONALD J. TRUMP

A few @Caltech friends and I are hosting the first math hackathon with frontier labs/startups. We're giving $1M+ of compute to 100 teams to solve the hardest open problems -- competitors range from IMO golds to frontier/neolab folks to math PhDs/profs. DM me if your company wants to be involved :) we are launching soon.

Diet Coke is a great human achievement Delicious 100% of the time in canned/bottled form (but also customizable with fountain machines), produced and distributed at an unimaginable scale, probably OK for you, no animal-derived ingredients, loved across political + other lines

In Katy Perry's 2010 hit song "California Gurls", the opening lines proclaimed, "I know a place/ Where the grass is really greener/ Warm, wet, and wild." - and for this hubris, the state was stricken with drought from 2011 to 2017 that they may learn humility.

Frontend is WAY harder for AI than backend. That's because it's flying blind. It can't test the code in the environment where it's running - the browser. Here's how to hook up AI to your browser:

The death of Brigitte Bardot necessitated the update of this marvelous chart. Only three people mentioned in Billy Joel's banger "We Didn't Start The Fire" are still alive. Source: reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful…

Waymos are 80% less likely to get into a serious crash than human drivers. An 80% reduction in car crash deaths in the US would mean more lives saved than if you eliminated all homicides. Great piece by @KelseyTuoc theargumentmag.com/p/please-…
