According to a report in the "Financial Times": In recent weeks, at least four Iran-linked ships have exhibited unusual behavior near undersea communications cables in the Gulf of Oman. According to data collected by "Windward," a company specializing in maritime intelligence, three oil tankers subject to US sanctions and another ship belonging to Iran have slowed down, changed course, and stopped for long periods above the cable routes. Some of these ships have also disabled their identification systems for several hours. These unusual activities have raised concerns that Iran is examining the communications infrastructure in this region, or preparing for the possibility of targeting them in the event of another military conflict.
