@Telegraph @anitathetweeter @taylorswift13 @edsheeran I've just been reading Friday's Daily Telegraph review of the Taylor Swift Wembley concert and noticed that my photo in the tweet below seems to be identical to the one used in your paper. Strange...

Wow! @taylorswift13 and @edsheeran at Wembley. Just hoping this is the highlight of Ed's week and he has a Cruel Summer weekend ahead. #comeonyoumightyreds
Football without @RonaldAraujo_4 is nothing. Brilliant to be inside Anfield to watch the legend today.

On Tuesday two million Arabs living in the Middle East have a chance to vote in a parliamentary election. The only Arabs in the Middle East who have a vote.
Because they live in Israel.
And this is another reason why I left the NEU and joined @edaptuk and any teacher who really cares about the union they belong to should leave the NEU. They can use my code to get money off as well. edapt.org.uk/refer/REFB4NRC5…

As France is burning, I keep thinking of what the UAE Foreign Minister said a few years ago 👇
He accurately predicted this.

Netanyahu responds to Obama:
The other day, I heard a regrettable statement. It talked about Israel stealing land, Israel losing the moral high ground. Well, let me respond to that.
The Jewish people are not foreign occupiers in the land of our forefathers. Our history is not a colonial enterprise. Our land is not stolen land. This is our homeland. It's called Judea.
We're not the Dutch in Indonesia. We're not the Belgians in the Congo. We're Jews in Judea.
Obama on Israel:
"The fact is that the Jewish people, for millennia, were oppressed, discriminated against, killed. Europe was responsible for much of it. They understandably sought a refuge.
That is undeniable. What is also undeniable is that they took land off people, and they were excessive.
And those people understandably said, 'This is injustice, and I want my land back.'"

As if you don't know where this is going. The next terms to be watered down to meaninglessness so that they can be thrown at the Jewish state are "genocide" within five years and "holocaust" within at most ten.

The Attorney General could also seek input from the Home Secretary, who’s on record saying - only last year - that if a Labour MP made such comments “there would be repercussions”.
At PMQs @KemiBadenoch asked the PM if he was tired of putting his foot in his mouth.
20 mins later and it’s not just another gaffe but a comment that appears to prejudge a murder investigation.
I have written to the Attorney General in the hope that she can remind the PM of his legal obligations.

Israel just unearthed a 2,000-year-old section of Jerusalem aqueduct that brought water to Temple Mount.
There was no Palestine then. No Islam either.
There was a Jewish kingdom in Judea, with Jerusalem at its heart and the Second Temple still standing.
Surely one for @FootballCliches

An extraordinary Israeli military operation from last year has now been revealed.
An Israeli Navy submariner was deep into a secret operational mission, at what was described as “one of the farthest points an Israeli force had ever reached,” when the submarine commander received a devastating message: the soldier's brother had been killed fighting in Gaza.
The submarine could not simply turn around. It was in the middle of an important mission far from Israel, and returning to port could have taken weeks.
The commander called the soldier into his small cabin and told him his brother was gone. The two stood there crying together. His mother was then connected to him through the submarine's communication system.
Then the IDF decided to do something extraordinary: “Do the impossible and bring him home.”
The Navy and Air Force secretly put together a rescue operation. A ship carrying a special force was sent toward the submarine, a helicopter was prepared, and secret meeting points were set at sea. The operation was approved at the highest levels.
About 24 hours later, the message finally came: “The journey home can begin.”
The soldier was taken from the submarine in the middle of its mission and brought back to Israel in time to stand at his brother's funeral and say Kaddish.
The submarine then continued its secret mission and returned to Israel only weeks later.
When it finally entered port, the fallen soldier's family was waiting on the dock to thank the commanders who had done everything possible to bring one brother home so he could say goodbye to the other.

And it’s back.
There’s loads riding on Sundays game on and off the pitch, but it’s down to us as a collective to bring the noise and get behind the team.
Bring your flags, bring your scarves and be at it from the very first minute.

Under the UN Genocide Convention, genocide requires specific intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group as such, plus listed acts.
Hamas’s 10/7 attack showed clearer intent: leaders’ explicit calls to annihilate Israel and Jews, plus planned civilian massacres killing ~1,200. Multiple legal analyses find it meets the standard.
Israel’s response targets Hamas militarily amid urban combat with human shields. High Palestinian deaths and some rhetoric raise concerns, but official aims and contested expert views (ICJ merits still pending) do not establish equivalent group-destruction intent.
Thus Hamas’s attack aligns more closely.

But you don't say any Hamas terrorists were killed. You just say 70,000 people. You could easily include a line which says... "This number, which comes from Hamas' own figures, includes approx 20,000-25,000 Hamas fighters, as per Israeli Government estimates". But you don't. Why?

We remember the lives stolen by Palestinian Hamas. We honor the heroes. We carry the scars.
And still, we stand.
We rebuild. We live. We choose hope.
