Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

Met two out of work PM’s at a house party last night Asked them what they were “tinkering” with and both looked at me like deer in headlights No original thoughts. No product ideas. No agency. Just expecting to find another tech “middle management” job Hate to say it, but those are the ones not coming back Make yourself useful or get left behind. That’s the new standard I’m seeing. The role doesn’t matter. It’s about what kind of value you can bring to the table. Master that and you’ll never be out of work. Even if you can’t find a “job”.

After a year of building @tryeveryai together, we've developed a "Product Harness". It's a protocol + app that lets our 20-30 agents research, plan, build, test, and collab together across local and staging environments When all lights are green, we push to prod from anywhere.

This is going to create so much harm.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

NEW: The Ford government tried to quietly close the public feedback period on its new education bill, changing the deadline to submit comments from May 13 to May 4 without notice. They reversed course after we asked why they were limiting public input: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

Always get so many questions from our community in Toronto for opportunities to come together! Please be sure to join @replit Ambassador @ibbybuilds on May 6th. RSVP soon as space will be limited 🇨🇦
Announcing Canada’s first official @Replit community meetup 🇨🇦 May 6, Downtown Toronto. A few months ago I flew to SF for the @alifdotbuild x Replit no-code hackathon. First one I’ve been to in 10 years (I’m unc now). Built a game with my wife → won Best Design. Met some incredible people. Shoutout @amasad — even nicer in person. Came back to Toronto thinking: we need this energy here. So we’re bringing it. Demos, merch, refreshments....and Replit credits for all attendees. See what people have been building (from experienced founders to non-technical first time tinkerers). Already 300+ registered from a LinkedIn post 👀 Link to register and/or demo in comments below.
