A three star general sitting in a diner in Arlington with notes he took from a classified report, reading them out loud to a reporter who was writing a book… think about that for a second.
According to the internal investigation report Axios got its hands on, Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, the man running strategy, plans and policy for the Joint Chiefs, admitted to leaking classified information on Iran and Ukraine to two reporters at two different outlets over about a year, and a U.S. official says he acknowledged it on video after he failed four polygraphs. It started as early as June 2025, it ran through Signal, and when one of those reporters lost Pentagon access he just moved the meeting to the Silver Diner. Then there is the Signal thread about Iran that he says he deleted by accident… investigators don't buy that and neither do I.
Now keep in mind the part the press is skipping. When Hegseth fired him, the Joint Staff put out a statement thanking him for 32 years of distinguished service, and according to a U.S. official it was acting Army Secretary Adam Telle's office pushing for that warm send off to limit the fallout. They pulled it once the full picture came out. So who exactly were they protecting, and why was the first instinct to polish the general instead of protecting the country he swore an oath to?
Here is the reality. This is what institutional rot looks like up close, a man with stars on his shoulders who decided the press was his chain of command, and the report even says he admitted being one of the 20 officials quoted in a story trashing Pentagon leadership. Rank was supposed to mean something. Honor was supposed to mean something. He traded both for a few pages in somebody else's book.
How many more of them are still sitting in that building? You already know the answer.
DOJ has the referral. Charge him.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! The Pentagon's Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia — who was just fired by SecWar Pete Hegseth — has ADMITTED to leaking classified Iran and Ukraine intelligence to *two reporters* at two different outlets, according to an internal investigation report obtained by Axios
AND SO THERE IT IS.
Hegseth and Trump are PURGING the leakers! Now, PROSECUTE.
He allegedly met one reporter at a Silver Diner in Arlington and read off notes from a classified report on U.S. aid to Ukraine ‼️
Officials also suspect he deliberately wiped a Signal thread with another reporter about Iran.
Sylvia, the Joint Staff's top military planner, reportedly confessed on video after FAILING four polygraph tests
The Pentagon has referred the case to the DOJ for possible prosecution.
The media fearmongered when Hegseth started cleaning house, and now we know why he did it!
@PeteHegseth did the right thing here. We don't want these people near our national security.

BREAKING: 🇵🇱 Coup d'état underway in Poland
Coup d'état underway in Poland after EU-aligned Prime Minister Donald Tusk sent police forces to the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw right after President Nawrocki left for Senegal for a diplomatic visit.
Nawrocki is currently headed back to Poland.
The President of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, Bogdan Swieczkowski, was suspended and possibly arrested. He is a known support of President Nawrocki.
Several right-wing Polish MPs and their supports are reportedly on their way to the Constitutional Tribunal to defend the institution from being taken over by Donald Tusk.
Warsaw's police forces are preventing the President of the Constitutional Tribunal Bogdan Święczkowski, members of the Sejm and protesters from entering the Constitutional Court.

Sequoia's thesis that the next $1T company will sell work, not software, is the most important reframe in AI right now.
The argument: if you sell a copilot, you're competing with every new model release. But if you sell the outcome, books closed, contracts reviewed, claims handled, every AI improvement makes your margins better, not your product obsolete.
The key insight most people miss: for every $1 spent on software, ~$6 is spent on services.
The entire SaaS playbook was about capturing the software dollar. The AI playbook is about capturing the services dollar, at software margins.
Not "AI for accountants." The AI accounting firm.
Not "AI for lawyers." The AI law firm.
The companies that figure this out won't look like SaaS companies. They'll look like services firms rebuilt on software infrastructure.
That's a fundamentally different company to build, fund, and scale. And most founders are still building copilots.
I went deeper on this in AI Market Fit: Sequoia Capital: The next $1T company won’t sell software. It will sell the work.

Months ago, I predicted that the Harris County Soros DA would indict a federal ICE officer to interfere with our election. Now, he has done it.
This morning, on the last day of early voting and four days before Election Day, DA Sean Teare walked into a grand jury room with the head of his civil rights division. By 8:40, he walked out with an indictment of ICE officer Mario Morales.
The charge has not even been made public. But the press conference with democrat Sheriff Ed Gonzalez was already set for 10:30.
A prosecutor who wants justice does not need a press conference the weekend before an election. A prosecutor who wants a headline does.
Harris County, you know exactly what this is. Go vote Republican today.

🚨🇵🇱COUP UNDERWAY IN POLAND!
PM Donald Tusk has just sent police to storm Constitutional Tribunal building in Warsaw in the middle of the night.
Tusk waited until President Karol Nawrocki left the country before ordering the police takeover.
Nawrocki was halfway to Senegal when he abruptly turned his plane around and rushed back to Poland to confront the unfolding crisis.
The EU, which backs Donald Tusk, has STILL NOT issued a statement on this unprecedented crisis or condemned the attempted coup.

🚨 BREAKING: **30 SUBPOENAS** have been fired off by the Trump DOJ into the people involved with Alaska's fake Dan Sullivan ballot plant — and legal expert Jonathan Turley says it's akin to a BOMBING CAMPAIGN
"These 30 subpoenas is equivalent of a saturation bombing campaign. 30 subpoenas is a LOT, and they are hitting every possible target here which is one of the reasons why the lawyers of this campaign should remove themselves immediately — because THEY'RE going to have to lawyer up!"
"A violation of 18 USC 1001 — and some of these people are going to cooperate. And so it's a very dangerous situation for many of the people in this scandal."
18 USC 1001 makes it a federal crime to lie to federal investigators, and it carries up to 5 years in prison.
Once DOZENS of people are all having to give statements to federal investigators, that can get MESSY

The target is Marc Elias. Peltola isn't going to win Alaska now. The point is that Elias and his merry men have overreached and been caught promoting election fraud. And it's not in D.C. so jury nullification is unlikely.

The year is 1873. Your wife tires easily and reads too much. The doctor prescribes the rest cure: six weeks flat in bed, no books, no visitors, fed on milk, forbidden to sit up without his permission. The man who devised it is the most famous nerve specialist in America, and the women come out of it quieter, which is taken as the cure.
The year is 1915. The hospital has a new way of delivering your child. Morphine, then scopolamine, and the mother wakes two days later with a baby she cannot remember having. They call it twilight sleep. The women are strapped into padded cots so they do not hurt themselves while they scream, and the straps are the modern part. The babies arrive blue and slow to breathe.
The year is 1945. The truck comes down your street fogging DDT, and the children run behind it in the white cloud because the man on the back says it is harmless. At the beach it is sprayed over the bathers on their towels. It goes on the cattle, over the barn, and across the kitchen table.
The year is 1948. Your son has trouble with his ears. The doctor slides a rod tipped with radium up each nostril and holds it there for the best part of ten minutes, and you bring him back three more times. Hundreds of thousands of American children get the same treatment. The cancers arrive in their fifties.
The year is 1962. The health visitor tells you breastfeeding is old-fashioned and the formula is scientific. By 1972 fewer than one American baby in four is breastfed at all. The formula is skimmed milk and sugar, with the milk fat taken out and vegetable oil put in.
The year is 1971. The family planning clinic fits a small plastic crab called the Dalkon Shield. Its tail is a bundle of fibres that wicks bacteria up into the womb. 2.8 million are fitted in America before it is withdrawn, and the company goes bankrupt under the claims. It had been sold as safe and superior.
The year is 1983. The doctor says your arteries are the butter's fault. The dripping tin goes in the bin, the yolks go to the dog, the margarine goes in the fridge, and you have the heart attack anyway, on skimmed milk, having done everything right.
The year is 2001. Your 15-year-old is low, and the doctor prescribes Paxil, because the trial in the journal says it is effective and well tolerated in adolescents. The raw data, reanalysed 14 years later, shows more suicidal thinking on the drug than on the sugar pill. The company pays $3 billion to settle. Nobody rings the house.
The year is 2009. The government has spent around £500 million stockpiling Tamiflu for the pandemic, on the strength of the manufacturer's trials. When the trials are finally prised loose five years later, the drug shortens flu by about half a day and nothing shows it keeps anyone out of hospital. The stockpile goes out of date in a warehouse.
The year is 2026. The doctor has ten minutes and a screen. The number is high, so the tablet is for life. The weight is high, so the injection is for life. The meat is bad for the planet and the oil is good for the heart, and the person in the chair is as certain as everyone who ever sat in it.
Every one of those was settled, by a committee, in a journal, with a doubter somewhere being laughed at. The rest cure, the straps, the fog, the rod, the formula, the crab, the margarine, the trial, the stockpile. All of it certain, all of it printed, all of it done to somebody who had asked for help.
You were never the one who was wrong. You were the one it was done to, and the only person in the story who did as they were told every single time.
The apology comes a generation late, in a footnote, addressed to nobody.
The next one is being drafted now.

‼️ A COUP IS HAPPENING IN POLAND 🇵🇱
Poland's Constitutional Tribunal is being subjected to an extraordinary takeover operation by pro-EU Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Its official website has been taken over, an announcement has appeared removing its president and vice-president from their duties, and police have been deployed around the institution.
The Tribunal's existing leadership has declared the operation illegal and accused those responsible of committing a coup d'état.
The Constitutional Tribunal is the institution responsible for reviewing whether laws comply with the Constitution. It is broadly comparable to the constitutional-review function of the United States Supreme Court.
Today, its website announced that President Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice-President Bartłomiej Sochański had been suspended for one month.
The person now claiming authority over Poland's Constitutional Tribunal is Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, elected to the Tribunal by Donald Tusk's parliamentary majority in March 2026.
But there is a fundamental legal problem: she has never taken her judicial oath before the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
Under Article 4 of the Act on the Status of Constitutional Tribunal Judges, newly elected judges must take their oath before the President of the Republic.
Nawrocki refused to receive her oath. Instead, on April 9, Korwin-Piotrowska participated in an alternative swearing-in ceremony organised inside the Polish Parliament, without the President's presence or participation.
The Presidential Chancellery explicitly declared that this procedure had no legal basis and could not confer judicial authority. The existing leadership of the Constitutional Tribunal maintains that she is therefore not legally a judge of the institution.
And now, a woman whose authority to serve as a constitutional judge is rejected by the President and the Tribunal's existing leadership is being presented as the person entitled to take control of the entire court.
Poland's Constitution does not give the prime minister or his government the power to dismiss the Constitutional Tribunal's leadership.
Article 194 establishes the Tribunal's composition and the procedure for appointing its president. Article 195 guarantees the independence of its judges.
The announcement of a suspension relies on Article 130 of the law governing ORDINARY COURTS. Invoking this article to suspend the leadership of the Constitutional Tribunal is a legally indefensible distortion of the law, revealing a staggering disregard for elementary constitutional principles.
HOW DID POLAND GET HERE?
Donald Tusk returned to power in December 2023, promising to reverse the judicial reforms introduced under the conservative Law and Justice government.
Those reforms had been fiercely opposed by the European Commission, which initiated rule-of-law proceedings against Poland and linked access to European funding to judicial conditions.
Tusk's government subsequently presented Brussels with a programme for restructuring the judiciary, including the Constitutional Tribunal. The European Commission welcomed that programme and ended its Article 7 proceedings against Poland in 2024.
The methods used by the EU and its supporters undermine the very constitutional principles they claim to restore.
President Karol Nawrocki has reportedly interrupted his journey to Senegal to return to Poland.

This is the segment I saw live this morning. Absolutely embarrassing for this woman. She has no business being anywhere near power.
Wow, Democrat Campaign Chair Suzan DelBene (D-WA) TORCHED by CNBC hosts over Democrat Mary Peltola election rigging scandal in Alaska 🎥
Andrew Ross Sorkin: “You don't believe the report at all?”
“You don't believe, You genuinely don't believe it happened. Do you want to know if it happened? ... As a human, as a citizen, if you're watching this play out and you say to yourself, this is crazy?”
For 4+ minutes, DelBene insists she believes Peltola & her campaign had NOTHING to do with placing a fake Dan Sullivan on the ballot after bombshell NYTimes investigation, complete with text message evidence, sparking multiple federal & criminal investigations
DelBene goes on a whataboutism tangent: “Well, the campaign has been clear that they deny what happened … Republicans from the very beginning have been set up trying to rig the system”
➡️Joe Kernen: “Chairwoman, it's good you got that, you know, not a lot of DelBenes around so you probably have, Democrats won't be able to find anyone to run against”

the old education system is like dead dead
there's literally never been a better time in history to homeschool your kids with AI
you can now just prompt it to create an entire curriculum for your kid, give lessons, generate interactive quizzes to see what they're actually learning, explain things in a hundred different ways until they understand, adapt the difficulty and pace to their progress, generate videos, etc etc
you could probably give your kids a much better education in a fraction of the time they'd otherwise spend sitting in a classroom learning the same things at the same pace as 30 other kids
and then spend all that extra time playing with them, exploring, doing sports, reading, traveling, whatever
it's actually insane when you think about it
Physics is hard to visualize through static images alone, so I turned my 174 pages of high school physics notes into an interactive website.
It covers mechanics, electricity, and magnetism, breaking down complex concepts into intuitive visualizations, real-world scenarios, and interactive problems.

You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland).
You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.

In 1986, Ronald Reagan allowed ~1.4m illegal immigrants in California to become citizens
1988 was the last time California voted Republican, ever.
Elon's caution about opening borders and creating voting pathways is *the literal playbook* and has already been done once
If politicians can win elections by altering demographics (including by importing or creating more voters for their party) the entire premise of the American system is permanently broken
This is a far more important issue than any individual issue on the ballot
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

Doing chores as a kid predicts how your life turns out better than your IQ does.
Harvard followed 456 boys from Boston's poorest neighborhoods from age 14 all the way to 47. The ones who worked hard as kids, chores, odd jobs, whatever, grew up mentally healthier and had better relationships. That mattered more than how smart they were or how much money their family had.
Kentrell kind of explained why without meaning to. Coolest man on earth, but hella structure.
A Berkeley psychologist named Diana Baumrind spent the '60s studying exactly that combo. Parents who were warm and strict at the same time raised the most capable, independent kids. Strict with no warmth did worse. So did fun with no rules.
Look at his dad's list. Out the door by 6:50am. Homework gets checked, no excuses. No dishes left in the sink. In bed by 10. Plus a four-week deep cleaning rotation that ends with him hosing down the outside of the house.
Then look at what he gets back. Friday after 6 is his once chores are done. Saturday he can be out on the block till 10 and home by 11. And the Sunday laundry line says Dad will help if he's not working.
Pretty much every rule on there earns him something. An 8-year-old can understand that deal.
When you start matters too. Marty Rossmann at the University of Minnesota went back through 84 kids from Baumrind's research. The ones doing chores at 3 or 4 were doing the best in their mid-20s, and it predicted that better than IQ did. Kids who didn't get chores till 15 or 16 mostly resented them, and it backfired.
Most of us grew up with this. In a 2014 survey of 1,001 American adults, 82% said they had regular chores as kids. Only 28% make their own kids do them.
A kid who was 10 when that survey ran is 22 now. Some of the people in these replies are about that age, saving a stranger's dad's chore list so they can run it on themselves.
