Hear me out: a completely separate internet for the people who want absolutely nothing to do with AI.

They NEED to start putting regulations on ads, I should not need to click the X button 3 times on 3 different parts of the screen to close an App Store ad, and they should not be allowed to pull up the fucking App Store without my permission

Maybe shoving a bad product down everyone’s throat and trying to reorganize the economy around it was a bad idea?
$930,000,000,000 wiped out from the US stock market at open. Absolute Bloodbath.

You're not able to afford GPU, RAM and Storage because Sam Altman thinks that its quite terrible to have DRAM sitting in your computer
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”

“Intelligent pricing” will be used to scam people btw
Sony is hiring a director to work on “Intelligent Pricing” for PlayStation. They want to use data and AI to “improve” game prices and offers. You know what this means, they will use AI to charge more to some people and push dynamic prices even more

One thing I find so annoying about the AI overview thing for Google is that it's so disgustingly obvious that's just meant to artificially boost the numbers of AI generations like "See shareholders look, how usful AI is everyone uses it look at these big numbers!!!" just dumb
*Googles literally anything* "Ai Overview-"

A man has been granted a religious exemption allowing him to avoid using AI at work David Durman argued that outsourcing his thinking to AI goes against his deeply held beliefs

I love how these losers never consider the possibility that some of us are just making games for the joy of creating. It’s not a waste of my time, it’s literally what I do for fun.
If you make games without AI, you're wasting your time. Here's how I build Ladder Knight. I leave a note right on the map and keep working. A minute later, the change is in the game. From small things like basic decor or a slightly higher jump, to entirely new mechanics like a block that moves on any path and connects to any buttons. Each one is just a note. I test it right in the editor. The editor is made completely by AI too. Even this video was made with a feature AI added, because I didn't want to waste time cropping it. Years ago I spent more time making editors than making games (I worked on mobile games in 2020). Now the tools grow with the game. If you ever dreamed of making your own game, there was never a better time to start.

does it get more "you will own nothing and be happy" than this?
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."
